All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.

Standardized spelling was a new thing in 1966 and it was still being worked out––Heros, Psycodelic––come on, give them a break.
Isn't "Psycodelic" a word-play with Psychedelic and Psycho(tic?)?
No. It's someone spelling psychedelic a) incorrectly, b) phonetically, c) both. This is what I mean when I say people are overthinking things. Why was one of Brian's best loved classic songs originally logged as "We Don't Know" ? Was it a hint at the uncertainty of modern life, a cry of frustration or a flat acceptance that the band have no clue ? No - it just means he hadn't called the song "California Girls" yet.

Mind you I never had been a fan of all these kind of extrapolations, it was just an observation as I saw a lot of posts just wondering what the hell "Psycodelic" was supposed to mean, without mentionning the possible (though not likely) "explanation" I wrote above; But you're right, a lot of things are extremely far-fetched (just like the whole content of high school and college literature classes)

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

I'm not sure that's correct… I don't recall any LPs by the Beech Boys, and plenty of folk get uppity (rightly so) when Murry, Audree or Mark Linett's names are spelled incorrectly, and they were all already in the nag by the mid '60s.
Whether it's correct or or not, it's not just "Heros": the word "Villians" is also spelled incorrectly four times, once on each of those boxes, in the same manner as it is on the hand-written list. That has the potential to be more than coincidence, surely?

Slim Shady, you're from Dublin......right?
Music releases in Ireland come out the Friday before the UK Monday street date.
So, like Germany, hopefully we'll have the SMiLE Sessions on 28th Oct, 3 days before our UK cousins and 4 days before the good ole USA.
HMV on Grafton street opens at 8.30 on Fridays.

Aye, I guess I should have said that at the start! Does it aid the search for the list author? Or has that one been definitively solved while I was in the bathroom? It'd suggest studio engineer to me, anyways.

Quotes from Carl in a February '67 issue of Rave:
----------------------------------------------------
"At present our influences are of a religious nature," he said. "Not any specific religion but an idea based upon that of Universal Consciousness. The concept of spreading goodwill, good thoughts and happiness is nothing new. It is an idea which religious teachers and philosophers have been handing down for centuries, but it is also our hope. The ideas are there in God Only Knows, Good Vibrations, Heroes and Villains and it is why the new LP is called Smile.
"The spiritual concept of happiness and doing good to others is extremely important to the lyric of our songs, and the religious element of some of the better church music is also contained within some of our new work."

Surely this cannot be. We've been
assured
by various posters on this board that Smile has nothing to do with philosophy, religion or spirituality. Was Carl lying just to screw with people from the future?

No one can deny the "teenage symphony to God" and "white spiritual sound" quotes from Brian himself in relation to SMiLE.
