I saw a little more than half of it. My complaint is that they play the studio versions of the group's songs in the background instead of letting you hear the dialogue between members of the group and the fans and the managers and all the people you see along the way. The actual conversations would have given the viewer a much better feel of what it was like back in 1968. The film footage is quite good, but I would have enjoyed listening to the guys as they had their fancy dinner and drinks together in one scene, likely after a show. There is a scene where Carl is on a tour bus in Germany and there is a very attractive woman sitting next to him, probably his first wife.

Keepin the Summer Alive was such a misfire, it would have to be re-recorded to have any chance to make it on a good album; School Days, should not be a Beach Boys' album; Goin To The Beach, how did this not make it onto the album, it's the liveliest and most pleasing track, perfect for summer; It's A Beautiful Day is ruined by Mike Love's odd vocal style on this song.

"And we come full circle returning to what was said a few pages ago: If Rocky and/or Stephen Love had the facts and the truth on their side when they were sharing details of various issues and lawsuits and whatnot involving Mike, there would be *no grounds to sue*. That's as simple as it can get. Or even more simply, the burden of proof for someone suing for libel or slander depends entirely on first proving that lies and falsehoods were told about that person or persons enough to damage them personally or in a business sense."
It's never as simple as that. Even if the truth is on your side, the cost of defending yourself from a lawsuit is enormous. Most people will give it up rather than face the time and costs of attorneys' fees in defending themselves from a lawsuit. If you are sued and you win, you don't get your attorneys' fees back, they are down the drain. And if a judge makes a decision that turns a case upside down, even if that decision is wrong, that is one of the risks of a lawsuit. The road to good intentions is paved with all kinds of bad and incorrect outcomes in lawsuits, especially in sunny California.

Brian W. should have hung it up a long time ago. If he's unable to concentrate or if he's not interested, or if he's silently suffering from back pain, don't advertise a show and rip off the people that pay their money to see a concert. I understand there are a lot of people that depend upon BW for a paycheck, but at some point you have to say enough and end it.

One e-mail from Brian Wilson's wife expressed his unwillingness to continue touring. Whatever led up to it, that e-mail was crystal clear. And then at some point thereafter, Brian's desire to tour changed. I don't get why Brian or his wife didn't go to Mike and try to work something out for more shows. Maybe they did and it hasn't been reported. It seems apparent that Mike and Melinda don't get along, and if Melinda's e-mail was a bluff, it was a foolish move. Mike Love is strong willed and doesn't want to be second banana to the wife of a rock star. And the soap opera continues.

When Melinda Wilson sends Mike Love an e-mail that says no more shows for Wilson, Mike Love is supposed to know she/Brian doesn't mean it? Is Mike Love supposed to think, based on that e-mail, that Brian really wanted to do more shows. Why did Melinda send Mike that e-mail? Has anyone ever asked her that question? I would ask her, when the 50th anniversary tour started to fall apart and went public, why didn't you or Brian call Mike and try to fix things and lay the groundwork for some more shows.
I am no fan of Mike Love, but on this issue he has a point. If this is an example of what Melinda Wilson is like to deal with, there's probably some other equally stupid things she did during the tour that irritated some of the band.

"I know one of the guitar players who played on Run James Run as well as another song on NPP. As of just a few months ago, he worked with both Brian and Thomas together at separate studios! I asked how. Something that nobody thought of yet was his answer. He said when they were recording,Brian was at Oceanway and Joe was at another studio with the guitar player, presumably in Nashville. He said Brian and Joe were on Skype laughing it up and that Brian seemed very involved and comfortable communicating with Thomas on the TV monitor they set up in the studio."
So does this mean that Brian Wilson is the process currently of recording a new album?
