The writing was clearly on the wall. This was the beginning of the end...

We are going to split the album in two, so round #11 is Disc 1 and round #12 will be Disc 2.

Quote
The Beatles, also known as the White Album, is the ninth studio album by English rock group the Beatles, released on 22 November 1968. A double album, its plain white sleeve has no graphics or text other than the band's name embossed,[a] which was intended as a direct contrast to the vivid cover artwork of the band's earlier Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Although no singles were issued from The Beatles in Britain and the United States, the songs "Hey Jude" and "Revolution" originated from the same recording sessions and were issued on a single in August 1968. The album's songs range in style from British blues and ska to tracks influenced by Chuck Berry and by Karlheinz Stockhausen.

On release, The Beatles received favourable reviews from the majority of music critics, but other commentators found its satirical songs unimportant and apolitical amid the turbulent political and social climate of 1968. The band and Martin have since debated whether the group should have released a single album instead. Nonetheless, The Beatles reached number one on the charts in both the United Kingdom and the United States and has since been viewed by some critics as one of the greatest albums of all time.

Welcome back Smilers!

Remember to Vote OFF your LEAST FAVORITE TRACK.

Tally on October 3

Birthday
Yer Blues
Mother Nature's Son
Everybody's Got Something To Hide (Except For Me and My Monkey)
Sexy Sadie
Helter Skelter
Long, Long, Long
Revolution 1
Honey Pie
Savoy Truffle
Cry Baby Cry
Revolution 9

Side two is stronger (IMO) than side one. This side is tougher for me to vote stuff out.

Sorry John. I love Revolution 9, but I would feel bad voting off another track before you.  Cry

Easy...

Revolution #9

What are the chances we leave Ringo alone for a while? There are atleast 3 tracks (including Revolution #9) that I'd vote off before Good Night. Perfect closer for such an eclectic album.

This is the easiest vote ever

Revolution 9 is IMO, by a long distance, the worst thing to appear on a Beatles release.  It's also the best argument for The White Album as a single disc.

Revolution 9 has redeeming qualities for me.  Furthermore the casual Beatle or classic rock fan will understand "Number 9, Number 9, Number 9...." as a cultural reference.

Start singing any of half of the other white album tunes you'll get blank stares of non-recognition.

I vote Honey Pie

10 smilers voted for 2 tracks.

I think John would have appreciated that Revolution 9 received 9 votes.

Tough choice for me between Savoy Truffle and Honey Pie....

I find disc 2 to be significantly weaker than disc 1.

Anyway, I'm going for Long, Long, Long this round. Has to be one of the least well-known Beatles songs, along with, perhaps, Hey Bulldog.

I agree, this will be much harder than side one.....

Somebody had to start voting against this eventually, and it may as well be me who gets this ball rolling: Good Night

I really can't stand "Everybody's got sth. to hide except for me & my monkey". Imo along with "Revolution 9" the worst WA track.

That's right, RR! I wish I could adequately describe my feelings on the song, but I can't.

Meanwhile, Savoy Truffle has no business outlasting Long Long Long.

There is a tie between Savoy Long and Monkey.

Need a vote to break it.

Come on, come on!
