In my experience, when someone who's been a major, ah, 'contributor' to a thread starts saying it's boring, a spent force, it's usually accompanied by the sound of furious back-peddling.

Or perhaps it's the dawning realization that he helped MAKE the thread insipid, and a spent force.

I don't happen to agree, fwiw. Yes, things have taken a turn for the silly, but that's better than witnessing the cannibalization that was going on before that. What are we supposed to do while we wait for news? A little thumb-twiddling is harmless.

Brian's recent interview caused me to decide to take look at this forum and see what response Brian's "Maybe" has brought from the "Smile" box dreamers.

I'm merely bringing the dreamers crashing back down to reality, a reality that we've experienced before from the feuding Beach Boys. The box set has already been compromised.

You may think I'm being pessimistic and/or paranoid. Actually, I'm being realistic.
