Short notice: the cat you see to the left is the best. Not counting your indoor cat who might have habit sitting at your left side when you post in SmileySmile.

I Call Your Name
Did you hear it by Ringo? His voice fits the song & you may like the "hard rock" guitar sound. 3D

I dont recall a Ringo version.  Was that as a solo artist, or an alternate version?

Travelin Wilburys with Ringo guest drumming I think is what she is referencing.

The file says "Long Lost Album". Date: 1991. He sings the lead too. So what do you think, KDS?

Does it sound different from the video I posted above?

KDS, it was for a TV special in 1990. John would have been 50 years old and it was 10 years since his death.

I remember watching that special when  it aired. Some  of the performance were good. Others were embarassing. Sean Lennon did Dear Prudence if I recall, and it was pretty good for the time.

I didnt see that. Ill have to look it up.

I remember there was a tribute to The Beatles to mark the 50th Anniversary of their first Sullivan apoearance featuring Pharell Williams and others. I remember being glad I DVRed it so I could fast forward.

The odds and ends collection. That label can be misleading since both volumes have some very VERY important tracks.

We will only include tracks from the collection which were recorded between 1962 - 1966. We will not include the German versions of "She Loves You" or "I Want To Hold Your Hand".
additionally we will include the 1965/66 tracks which can be found on Vol. 2. We will split the remaining tracks down the middle and create two tribes. The "Mersey" tribe and the "London" tribe. Each round we will vote off a track from each tribe.  I also shuffled "I Call Your Name" into the London tribe because it fit that aesthetic more.

Quote
Past Masters was originally issued as two separate CDs Past Masters, Volume One and Past Masters, Volume Two, on 7 March 1988. The two volumes were included in The Beatles Box Set. A double LP set, titled Past Masters, Volumes One & Two (also titled simply Past Masters), was subsequently released in the US on 24 October 1988 and in the UK on 10 November 1988.

The double set was re-released on CD, titled simply Past Masters, on 9 September 2009, as part of the remastering of the original Beatles catalogue, and was included in The Beatles stereo box set. This release includes stereo mixes of both "From Me to You" and "Thank You Girl", whereas the original 1988 issue contained the two tracks in mono. The The Beatles in Mono box set, released at the same time, includes the album Mono Masters, which contains a similar track list of dedicated mono mixes.

13 votes spread across 5 Mersey songs and 4 London songs.
Not even Alan White could save Love Me Do this early.  (7 votes ) and maybe she was NOT a woman. (5 votes )

Vote for your LEAST FAVORITE from EACH TRIBE (two total).

Tally on May 15

THE MERSEY TRIBE

From Me To You
Thank You Girl
She Loves You
I'll Get You
I Want To Hold Your Hand
This Boy
Long Tall Sally
Slow Down

THE LONDON TRIBE

I Call Your Name
I Feel Fine
Yes It Is
I'm Down
Day Tripper
We Can Work It Out
Paperback Writer
Rain

Round#1 Bad Boy (London) May 10
Round#1 Matchbox (Mersey) May 10
Round#2 Love Me Do (Mersey) May 12
Round#2 She's A Woman (London) May 12

Thank you girl, but no thank you. This one tries hard, but is kind of lackluster. I do like the "and all I gotta do" part the best.
I'm not down with I'm Down.
