What's up with the inside of the smile shop door (looking in) on the actual box? Looks a little off to me.

Not a major complaint but I do hope you can buy the vinyl sleeves with GLORIOUS MONO bands on top rather than stereo. Or maybe we'll get a Duophonic option too so it can be properly historically informed, haha.

Was this leaked or released by Capitol?
I'm a tad confused, if this is an official release I would guess more information is very soon to follow

It's from an EMI trade mag. Which is why I think an announcement is imminent.

Can anyone tell if the Brother logo disc is Disc 1? The Capitol rainbow looks like it has a disc number, but I can't make it out. Any eagle eyes out there?

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.

I can't make it out, either, but I would guess that the Capitol disc is disc 1, the Brother disc is disk two, then Goldstar, Western, and Sunset, in that order. Just a guess.

That's what I'm assuming, as Sunset is disc 5 and disc 1 is likely the 'closest approach'.

How many U.S. dollars is this box gonna retail for again?

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

I'd like to get a little boring and say someting about the cover of the set. I think its whats known as Lenticular printing. Heres a pic.....
This is from Wikipedia "Lenticular printing is a technology in which a lenticular lens is used to produce images with an illusion of depth, or the ability to change or move as the image is viewed from different angles."

Interesting and novel that they seem to have done the sessions by studio - what happens when different studios were used for one song?? Does it mess with the timeline of sessions?

I seriously doubt that - none of it was recorded at Capitol. Just nicely informed artwork, I'm thinking.

Well, two Bens weigh 2 grams. Therefore, it'll be 0.00440924524369755 pounds. Do I win something?

and the Frank Holmes pic on the box looks almost 3D somehow (though I don't think it is… must be the angle).
Fake or no (and I don't think it is) I'm IMPRESSED.
OH MY GOD!!!!
THIS COULD BE 100% REAL!!!!!!!
I SWEAR TO GOD I READ THEY WERE PLANING ON DOING SOMETHING 3D WITH THE BOX!!!!!!

Did anyone notice the brown insert at the rear of the photo shows the words,
Vegetables
Cabinessence
Do you like worms
Then it says ...... only suns......
Could this be an unheard/unreleased track?
I believe the full title would be "My Only Sunshine"--and you know what that means. Same track we've heard for years.
Now don't start seeing things and saying that "The Child is Fat" is another lost track! (Just teasing.)

I was told by Spin CD that the cost of the box would be around the £125 mark.
Seems kinda acceptable in comparison with the rather inflated Achtung Baby mofo box set of around £325.
I guess there's also quite a deficit to pay off with regards to all the income generated off the bootlegs over the years. I guess the high price tag helps re-balance the Capitol books a little.
