The box looks exquisite! I am giddy! I was excited before, yet still trying to maintain some sort of apprehensiveness just in case. Now, the floodgates are open! A press release/track listing and of course, the release date, can't get here soon enough. Awesome!!

So who can confirm whether this picture is real or not? Not to be sceptical, but it
is
only one picture.....
This looks like something of the quality Earcandy could come up with. Or not. It sure looks damn good!

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

Why is it that of all the places, the picture appeared on the Hoffman forum first? lolz

David's Examiner site has all the TSS artwork up. Hooray!!!! I sure hope Phil has taken a gander at it. It looks very cool, very cool, indeed.

So, today is my birthday. Double Nickels. I'm at work, and I am not able to see the photo because of IT restrictions (also tried viewing the thing at the Hoff board, and no luck). Could some kind soul save it as a jpg or something, and PM me. Or something. I've got to see this. Thanks.
EDIT: I was able to view the artwork on David's Examiner site. Thanks. And Happy Birthday to me!

I initially thought it was fake too. Maybe the picture seems surreal because it's too good to be true.
It's literally everything I imagined it would be
Holy sh*t

I'm liking it, too.
That poster threw me as it looked like a poorly composed "boot" album cover...but the actual box set cover looks lovely - I want to walk inside!
So the two 45 singles will be the singles that Brian was attempting to put out in early to mid-67, huh? We know how "Heroes & Villains" turned out, but what version of "Vega-tables" would have been released? The one on the GV box set?

Check out the Imwan board, where he's just posted this:
"If the set is going to be released, is Mr.Doe's claim (that only 2580 copies will be manufactured) a joke, or is he serious?"
(I know, it's bad netiquette but a statement as uninformed/humorless as this is above and beyond such things !)

I'm real happy that the original Frank Holmes artwork has been used. That's the iceing on the cake for me.

Guilty chuckle that he started the SMiLe thread on that board with....
'Folks over on the Hoffman forum are trying to decide whether Jardine is perpetrating a hoax on the fans, but since I was banished in 2009,
I can't tell those cynical folks, that YES, this is for real
, and that Beach Boys compiler/remixer Mark Linnet has been doing research on this project(and a possible future CD/DVD set of 1972 concert recordings) for the past 2 years. He hasn't been permitted to speak about it.
Whether the "Smile" set will have anything that we haven't heard on previous official or unofficial releases, that remains to be seen. But it's one more "Smile" product to add to our collection'
