They only released the info a month in advance. I don't think that is jumping the gun.

It is if you want to take the position that they announced it before Capitol had the chance to make their official announcement about a worldwide release!  Grin

Phil, while being himself a little here, has a few very good points...

Specifically this one,

CAPITOL. IF YOU REALLY DO READ THIS BOARD MARK MY WORDS.
IF YOU DON'T ANNOUNCE YOUR REMASTERS BY JUNE 15th, WE ARE ALMOST ALL GOING TO BUY A FEW OF THE JAPAN REMASTERS, WHICH WILL BE EXPENSIVE.

IF YOU WANT TO SELL TO YOUR FAN BASE. HURRY UP. TIME IS TICKING.

You mean JULY 15th, right?

Hrere Come The Rife

Hrere comes the rife?  "I'm off," he said.
And quick as the wind he turned and fled.

All was quiet in the deep dark wood.
The mouse found a nut and the nut was good.

Where are you getting these tracklistings from?

EMI Japan site, then running them through Google Translator.  To be precise, they're up for pre-order on the shopping section of the site.

Maybe, just maybe, they are not meant for us, just yet. Japan had the Pastmasters series and others, while the rest of us got nothing. If we get them, I don't see it happening until the Fall or sometime next year.

The thing is, they'll leak long before they are released in the USA if that's the plan. It would hurt sales.

Thanks - looks like straight mono/stereo issues w/ no bonus tracks. Still cool - can't wait for the next bit of information!

There ARE bonus tracks on some… if you count the additional stereo / mono alternatives we've never had before.

I had a little sneak around the site to see if I could find anything hidden but I'm a clumsy amateur and found nothing. Feel free to have a peek yr'sen!

So? No matter. If they release them here, I'll still buy them whether leaked or not. I like to have a hard copy.

If the Beach Boys think they're adding my music to their day without paying the royalties, I'll have to get the lawyers involved!  Grin
