Outside of pro wrestling or politics I have never experienced any other forum (and I mean that in a broad sense not "The Smiley Smile Message Board") where people change roles from Heroes to Villains at such a rapid clip as in the Beach Boys community.  Or so it seems...

Anyhow two general questions about this upcoming box:

1) Has anyone been able to identify if the "Cantina Mix"  of H&V (as found on the SS/WH two-fer) is on this set?  If so where?

2) Has it been determined yet that if you buy the 5-CD box set package that you don't need any of the other packages?  If not what else do you need to purchase on 11-1?

Somebody confirmed that 'Heroes Part 1' is the cantina mix. What's odd is the track time is slightly longer so maybe they've added the woo woos before the "In The Cantina" section.

I would upload my chart for you, but I'm told the upload folder is full. Basically, it's just a side-by-side chart of the box, the 2-CD set and the vinyl set -- with content exclusive to each set color-coded. If anyone wants to PM me their email address, I'll send it directly to you.

Keeping in mind that it's based solely on track listings and not necessarily confirmed audio -- that is, what might appear on the 2-CD package as not on the 5-CD box might actually BE on the 5-CD box but re-banded in a different way.

Indeed -- I'm not claiming any brilliant insights into the contents of the various SMiLE sets; I just took the information that was available to all of us and made it easier to digest in a visible way. I originally did it right after the track lists were leaked, and people were spinning around in circles wondering which sets they'd have to buy to have EVERYTHING. My chart made it immediate and simple -- "OK, the blue tracks are only available on the box, the orange tracks are only available on the 2-CD set, and the green tracks are only available on the vinyl." People seemed to like it.

So I walk into JB Hi FI today in sunny old NSW, Australia.. And ask the gentleman behind the counter when they are getting the SMiLE sessions box? He enters the request into his computer and informs me he has no idea! Has not been ordered wont be ordered by them and has no Australian release date??? "Farking what" I said, this is the biggest, most anticipated release since SMiLE 67 and it has NO AUSTRALIAN FARKING RELEASE DATE??
