Considering how Murry was still involved with the group at least occasionally into the late 1960s, I'm wondering if Audree had similarly contributed to any songs by her sons at all beyond Kenny And The Cadets and other such early stuff. Or did Marilyn take up the role of female vocalist where it was required/desired on a track for the group?

WRT to Smile acapella stuff....

On stuff like Bridge To Indians, Prayer and assorted vocals which were recorded all around a mic with little separation besides Mike on his own (not things like Gee or H&V chants, which seem to have been constructed with overdubs, if you see what I mean), are the stereo versions thereof just the master and it's double in each channel, or are there more degrees of control that I haven't figured out?

Audree & Murry had separated in the mid-60.

Does that imply she didn't contribute to the BBs recordings out of worry she might see Murry or something? Not really sure how that's relevant, sorry!

Not forgetting that Audree was with Murry when he died.

Good question is there any evidence that Audree appeared on any sessions ?

In a performing capacity - no, none at all.

Where did this intro for the 2009 stereo mix of "Why Do Fools Fall In Love?" from Summer Love Songs come from?

They found it on the multi-tracks, which had recently been recovered. On the same reel were a lot of work tapes for the Shut Down vol. 2 sessions, and masters, which is why we also have the fully stereo DWB on that compilation. I guess they just thought it would be neat to let us hear it!

Does anyone know of a place online that has Beach Boys photos available for purchase other than ebay? I was hoping to find something nice to frame along the lines of what Icon Collectibles offers. Only downside is that they are very expensive.

Quick insignificant question: Are these tracks availabe in any form?

So Long
I'm Tired
A Little Love
Magic
Magnetic Attraction
All Over Me
I've Got You Right Where You Want Me
Still I Dream of You (not 'It')

These are tracks from the Wilson Project that I don't have. I was wondering whether or not these were indeed floating around/'available' before I spend a bunch of time looking. Thanks!

If I'm thinking of the right song, I believe that "So Long" also sometimes is referred to as "Turning Point". It is circulating among bootlegs and collectors. The melody later turned into "You've Touched Me". I think the original is better.  Cool

When did Dennis state that Al resembled a man waitng for a bus?

What's that supposed to mean anyway?

Late 60s. I think it was his way of saying Alan was entirely normal.

Do any recordings exist of Dennis's song "Baby baby"? I think it was from around 1971 0r 72. The Beach Boys performed it in concert at least once.

Are there piano tabs (or sheet music) for "Spirit of America" anywhere? I search both Google and these forums, and both came up with nothing (but maybe I just suck at searching)!

I don't like how that song implies the Spirit of America car used to be an airplane and then was converted into a car. It's just a car with a jet engine.

The original S/A was classified as a 3 wheel motorbike!  It's a strange little song...

If we are missing the vocal masters for Cabin Essence (lead and TDM), how were Linnet and Boyd able to single track the vocal and amplify TDM on TSS?

Think about that for a little while and the answer will come.
