The Beatles Survivor #7 Winner: ELEANOR RIGBY

This is the album I consider to be the end of the Beatles v.1 (i.e. the moptops).
Quote
Revolver is the seventh studio album by the English rock band the Beatles. It was released on 5 August 1966 in the United Kingdom and three days later in the United States. The album was the Beatles' final recording project before they retired from performing concerts and marked a progression on their 1965 release Rubber Soul in terms of the group's readiness to experiment in the recording studio. The album's diverse sounds include the incorporation of tape loops and backwards recordings on the psychedelic "Tomorrow Never Knows", a classical string octet on "Eleanor Rigby", and Indian-music backing on "Love You To". Reduced to eleven songs for the North American market, where three of its tracks instead appeared on the June 1966 release Yesterday and Today, Revolver was the last Beatles album to be subjected to Capitol Records' policy of altering the band's intended running order and content. Tally on April 10.
Taxman
Eleanor Rigby
I'm Only Sleeping
Love You To
Here, There and Everywhere
Yellow Submarine
She Said She Said
Good Day Sunshine
And Your Bird Can Sing
For No One
Doctor Robert
I Want To Tell You
Got To Get You Into My Life
Tomorrow Never Knows
For the first round I think I will pick
Doctor Robert
. It just feels like a throwaway song and the fade out always just felt to me like even the Beatles got tired of it.

"Love you to" - the boring of the bunch.

This album is going to be very hard. But this first round will probably be the only round I don't have to think really hard about it. It's a great song, but

I Want to Tell You.
Edit: It's great, but it'd be no wonder if it was ended up on Help! or Rubber Soul.

"Doctor Robert" is jolly good!
I just like that "we-ell we-ell we-ell". Bizarre to see it voted 1st round, my friends.

It's not bad, but not great IMO. Certainly better than Yellow Submarine, which I'm actually surprised is doing a lot better than this

Yes, it isn't great & it's better than YS but they're both good. Playing Revolver tracks, "Love you to" is the worst.

After the first few rounds this is going to be worse than Rubber Soul.
Have to go with Love You To. It's just plain boring in my opinion,

It's between Love You To and For No One. I'll go with For No One.
After about 3 rounds this is going to get really hard.

Yellow Submarine. For the record, the weak link on Revolver isnt such a bad thing.

Alright. I'm changing my vote to Love You To. That middle bit of Doc Rob is its saving grace.

I'd probably actually go for that too, along with Blue Jay Way (which has Indian influences even if it uses Western instruments)
