Some people here are really pathetic, and have taken to calling me out and making fun of me in other threads I haven't even posted in. Some of you have revealed yourself to be real losers, like 18th of May, who are way too concerned with the opinions some guy on the internet has about the Beach Boys. You're being big babies crying and carrying on because somebody doesn't agree with you. There's a lot of indignant whining, a lot of getting all fired up and being offended, a lot of mockery and downright bullying.
So to some of you, 18th of May, Hypehat, etc I have nothing to say to your little cry baby hissy fits anymore. I'll post whatever crazy theories I damn well please, and I'm not going to run around and kiss your asses because you feel like playing stupid little head games. Grow up and MOVE ON. I don't give a merda if you think I'm stupid or overenthusiastic or fanatical or crazy, shut the foder up. If you actually want to discuss SMiLE, I'll be happy to oblige, but all the "there goes fishmonk again" and all the whining and complaining and bitching, and all the making fun of me in every thread that pops up is really pathetic and I'm not even going to acknowledge it anymore.
Jesus.
Dude, lighten up. If comments I've made in other threads (the two in the Al's RSD show thread is the only such instance I can recall) offended you, I'm sorry. But I was hardly assassinating your character. I put your comment as my sig because it made me laugh. Honestly. And I have made plenty of concilatory gestures towards you and your POV throughout this thread.
As for this thread, I have been discussing plenty of Smile with Bill. You're the one making sarcastic comments, which have been ignored for the most part. Why don't you grow up?

I long for the day when we can return to normal healthy debate without crazy, drug fueled comments from lunatics that are pushing there own crap around because it makes their life seem worthy.
It's all good, I'm ok with joking around, and I'm honestly not losing sleep over any of this so there's no need for anyone to apologize. It's just very tiresome how some posters have been acting responding to every post I make with some sarcastic little "here we go again...". We get it, I'm a crazy drug addled moron, if this is now just some reputation I have that is going to spoil every discussion I try and participate in, I'm just going to stop coming here.

Koestler's The Act of Creation really laid out how to make the riddle for SMiLE though Brian does not state so here.
http://nymag.com/nymetro/arts/music/pop/12377/
The SMiLE riddle was to invoke laughter which could prompt a spiritual experience. It even lays out the wordplay & puns stuff.
The full title of the book is, The Act Of Creation: A Study of the Conscious and Unconscious Processes in Humor, Scientific Discovery and Art.

You really cannot see things how they are can you? Your sarcastic comments are what annoyed me since you got here.
a)You put forward an idea.
b)Someone points out flaws in the idea.
c)You ridicule them for not having the intelligence to grasp your concept.
d)You resort to sarcasm in attempt to make yourself all warm and fuzzy.

BS, I already addressed this in the sandbox, since the start I've made it clear that my opinions were just my opinions. I'm the one ridiculing people? Howso? You're the one calling me out every chance you get, not me. I'm not the one insulting people. You are. You've been accusing me from the beginning, saying that I think I'm 100% right and everyone else is 100% wrong and I'm so brilliant that I'm the only one who has ever thought of any of this stuff. When have I been doing this? I haven't. I've taken great pains to make it clear that I know I'm not perfectly right. Check the sandbox thread, I provided plenty of quotes. You're just being a dick. Just shut up dude, I don't give a merda that you don't like me or whatever, lay off a$$hole.

The Zen philosopher Basha once wrote, 'A flute with no holes, is not a flute. A donut with no hole, is a Danish.'
...I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-lagunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

LOL, that had me wondering if it was a real quote - then I read the second paragraph
"It's easy to grin,
When your ship comes in,
And you've got the stock market beat.
But the man worthwhile,
Is the man who can
smile
,
When his shorts are too tight in the seat."
I vote we turn this thread into a "favorite movie quote" thread

I've disliked plenty of people's posting styles since I've started reading these forums, I've been irked by plenty of opinions and there are some of you here that I really dislike.
That being said, this is a safe place where we can come and discuss the band we like, and it should remain that way. I respect everyone who posts here and if somebody is annoying me or offending my sensibility I just try and keep my mouth shut and just let them go on their way.
I don't behave like a baby and make fun of that person in every thread I post in.

Aside from the invective, if as stated, "I've disliked plenty of people's posting styles since I've started reading these forums, I've been irked by plenty of opinions and there are some of you here that I really dislike", then why bother to come here at all ? I have been on the board a few years and as you can see kept my posts to a minimum. I largely stand back and admire many of the posters on this board for their knowledge and passion for Brian and The Beach Boys. At times I have disagreed with certain posts and pointed out what I think and have never at any stage seen language or venom filled sarcastic posting like Fishmonk has produced. He and Bill have derailed this thread to a point where it is a joke. Which is sad.

Well, seeing as Graham Nash advised us to "Teach Your Children" a few years later, I'd say it's a definite conundrum.

In the Theremin movie from the time when Brian was still with Landy a shaky Brian talks about the "children of God" when referring to the sixties' twenty plus year olds. If one considers this along with the intro & "Surf's Up" part of Inside Pop: The Rock Revolution one gets the idea that it is these people who Brian is referencing...the enlightened sixties people.
From Inside Pop:
Quote
"Their idea is to love us into submission....As they see it, our society, while apparently healthy and certainly bountiful, is in a deep crisis of values. They are hoping for a return to the human centered community they feel modern life has moved away from. And they think that they, together with other young people like them, are forming a model upon which that society can be constructed."-David Oppenheim
After this, Oppenheim begins, "There's a new song...." while you can hear Brian at the piano.

BACK TO TOPIC------------------------>
Let's hope for a full 3 and a half minute (at least) H&V's instrumental...not the 50sec version on the GV Box set.
Wonderful with the Yodel's properly mixed in.
A Bitchin Mrs. O'Leary's Cow, with full Linnett Supersonic Sound Quality.
CIFOTM, hopefully with lyrics, but hey, reality seems to dictate otherwise, but with that rich Bass in-tack from 1966...
A Clear sounding DYLW, not a muddy version like on the Box set...
I don't know, help me out here...

Both versions of Wind Chimes. Long Fade and BWPS fade.
Holidays with the Whisperin' Winds vocal round overdubbed'... not the Purple Chick version, but a much better version.
