Has anyone noticed the Amazon preview video is in mono but when it was first posted it was in stereo and much better quality?

I put all my SMiLE related boots away when the news broke about the official release because,like many of you, I wanted to hear it with "fresh ears". I did cheat a few days ago when I played the 2fers of Smiley Smile and 20/20 including the rarities. I also started to re-read the Priore book about SMiLE also which made me want to give in. I ordered the Pink Floyd Immersion Box Set of Dark Side Of The Moon to keep me occupied.I'm sure you understand...

I quit for a while after after Al announced it - then I really wanted to hear 'Wonderful', then, after playing that, I just had to hear the rest of the material lol.

I think I'll quit from hereonout till the release. i've been listening to the early surf tunes more as of late anyways.

I stopped listening after the al announcement and held out pretty much until the latest 'leaks'. Have been listening to nothing but the 4 released tracks since, although haven't listened to other smile stuff (well, aprt from Worms as I wanted to hear how the flutter tone ending transitioned into it).

I'm not so sure if the Hoffman guy is making it up. He seems genuine to me and .... why bother? He says false barnyard has the faint vocal over it so presumably barnshine is on disc 1 with the vocals (although still faint more's the pity).

I tend to agree.  He seems legit.  It's unfortunate, though, that the one guy who has heard something and is willing to talk about it seems to be a bit of an amateur in terms of Smile knowledge.

Do you guys know that its down to $103 on Amazon.ca. Amazon didn't recognize the drop in price on my pre-order so I canceled it and created a new one at the lower price..the currency exchange is pretty much even with the American dollar.

Well the price on Amazon UK is around £123, which at an exchange rate (last I checked) around $1.6 to £1, works out at $77, plus shipping.... would this not make it worthwhile all you guys buying from the UK?

Uh, you need to multiply £123 by 1.6 rather than divide.  It's like US $190.

Well done for phoning ahead and apols for my lack of response to earlier question -  I haven't kept a note of publication dates either though I tend to read them (both) back to front and get hungry for the next copies a week later; they arrive a week later than that.  Keeping track of "monthlies" gets harder and harder as so many now publish 13 times a year!
