To me sometimes whenever I'd post something or want to reply to a posting, he seemed like an " online bully " to me. Maybe it's just me. Granted I don't post 10 to 15 posts a day or even a week, but still, I feel weakminded and dumb whenever I ask something or wish to address something. I sure hope that maybe I can overlook that feeling and wish to make a comment every now and then. Pretty good summary of my feelings regarding the Smiley Smile board in general. I'm a longtime lurker but rarely post, as people are very quick to "jump down your throat" here. I've never really understood the undercurrent of nastiness that pervades this site.

I wouldn't change a thing about 'Our Special Love' because I think it's really beautiful track as-is, but I did take the scissors to 'Guess You Had To Be There' to cut out Musgrave's first verse which turns it into more of a Brian track since you hear his voice first. I also removed Chaplin's lead vocal section on 'Sail Away' and faded it out early to eliminate some of the 'Sloop John B' stuff. Improves the album for me.
Are you joking? I can't tell.

I want to spend some more time with the album before writing out a full review but my first thoughts..."Our Special Love" just kills me, a really beautiful intro and outro with this awful boy band song wedged in to the middle. "Runaway Dancer" is the only song that I'm now skipping. I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews of "Sail Away" I love the bouncy bass, and Al's singing coming out of the key change, the whole thing is very catchy and one of my favorite tunes on the album, along with "Guess You Had to Be There." Overall the Joe Thomas cheese-factor is bothering me more here than ever before.

Let's see...leads given away, just Darlin' and Sail On Sailor. Al did Cottonfields and Rhonda of course. Chad did a lot of Don't Worry Baby. He was fairly prominent in the mix doing the high parts. - pretty much the same as Jeff but not doubling Brian here and there like Jeff used to do. He was fine but his voice was just not as good as Jeff or Matt, looked to be a really young guy. No real surprises in the set list - I was a little surprised to hear "Girl Don't Tell Me"

I went. Much to my surprise the high vocals were done by a guy named Chad (no Matt Jardine) they said it was his first show. It was solid, everybody sounded good. Scotty nailed Sail on Sailor and Darian Darlin. Good crowd if a little under-attended.

It takes a special kind of snobbery to say "Hey, all this info you're giving me? Sort it how i want it in my mind; it's not worth my time as it is"
Snobbery? Or a sincere desire to improve the signal to noise ratio on this site? What is the harm of putting the polls in their own section?
