Let's all vote for our least favorite McCartney albums. My top 5:
1) Press To Play 2) Flowers In The Dirt 3) London Town 4) Give My Regards To Broad Street 5) Run Devil Run
Both Flowers and Devil would be near the top of my best Macca albums list. Gotta love the Internet.

"We can only replace this item if it was purchased from Universal Music directly. If you have purchased this from us, can you please confirm your order number and I will be happy to arrange this for you. If this was purchased from another retailer, then you will need to contact them, as they should have their own route back to the supplier who in turn should have access to the new pressing.
This is not very encouraging. There have been other disc exchange programs for defective individual discs. It shouldn't be contingent on where the box was purchased.

It's an easy fix that takes only a few minutes This is what I did per somebody on the Hoffman boards.. 1. Rip to image + cue sheet 2. Manually add 2 seconds to the start time of each song on the cue sheet using a text editor 3. Burn to disc using new cue sheet
You can even replace "Surf's Up" if the last few seconds of fade bother you that much.
But that said, yeah I'd like my store-bought discs to be perfect and have been keeping an eye out for a replacement offer.

I'm sure that is how he meant it Billy. It's still offensive. Imagine if I said the opposite "I just don't get how any Beach Boys fan could like a single track on this awful album" Offensive, yes? It's dismissive, it questions people's tastes. It tries to dictate what being a Beach Boys fan is. That's how I took his remark. And the insinuation that just because lots of people like it, it automatically warrants respect, is just ludicrous.
I still don't understand your mean-spirited responses. All I said was that I don't understand how somebody who is a fan of the Beach Boys (ostensibly) could dismiss such a well-regarded album from their catalog in its entirety. That makes no sense to me. I'm not judging you. Everybody has a right to their opinions. That so many people like TWGMTR seems to suggest that it's pretty good. A lot of people hate "Summer In Paradise." Now that's an album I can understand dismissing in its entirety. I don't think I'm really going out on a limb here. I'd appreciate you tempering your insults Stephen. I mean no disrespect.

But you're the sort of fan I don't understand. The one for whom empathy seems to be a real problem.
Where did that come from? All I said was that I find it hard to understand how a fan of the Beach Boys can dismiss their latest album in its entirety - one that is very highly regarded by many people. This is indicative of some sort of character flaw on my part? It just doesn't make sense to me.

My apologies, but what is it again that you're looking to compare -- mixing or mastering differences?
Both. I was looking for points of comparison to illustrate how relatively treble-y and flat MIC seems to be. But as you point out, I'm likely on the wrong track as this is comparing apples and oranges (or red apples to green apples) due to the different mixes. I think the EH 1.0 version of California Girls has a much richer sound and a more logical soundstage. It's more detailed (I can hear the bass strings vibrate when Carol starts her bum-ba-dee-da riff). MIC sounds bright, somewhat harsh, the mix relatively confused, and the definition of the instruments isn't as precise.
