al Jardine is to dentistry as Mike Love is to saxophones. ...that's what I always say. sorry to take out my frustration on you wantsomecorn, but I found out the hard way no one answers Mike Love sax related questions. I think what little there is to know has already been discussed, long long ago. I'm sure there's an old "So...did Mike Love "really" play sax" thread out there that will answer all your questions! EDIT: Just an edit post.

and that's the part of the cause, cuz cancer is more connected with emotional state of patient and less with smoking, drinking and all that stuff.

Er, I'm pretty sure cancer is really related to smoking.

Folks usually don't get emotional until after they find out they have it, so I would say that smoking is the direct cause.

Is it Bruce who sings the high "na na na"'s on Good Vibrations just before the break with the cello's playing triplets?

This is not a question, I just wish Brian would collaborate with Stephin Merritt (Magnetic Fields) and Calvin Johnson (Beat Happening) on an album. That'd be so rad!

Is it possible to get the Smile t-shrt that comes in a bundle on the Beach Boys' website as a standalone item? Not really a standard question, but I wonder if anyone has gotten one this way.

Sweet. I love the BBs version - it's a great car radio tune and thus should fit perfectly in a GTA game.

I highly doubt that is Bruce - I think it's Brian, or maybe Brian with Carl.

I've heard a snippet of that song before and when I clicked on it I knew what it was - I was tempted to say 'no', because it has such an overbearingly modern feel that a lot of music I don't listen to has, but I'm listening to the album that track came from, and it's incredibly amazing. I sense a Pet Sounds influence but not in a remotely aural way - just the way that Pet Sounds is different from any other album, these tracks from Grizzly Bear have the same categories - so individual, almost uncategorizable.
