But enough of this - unwonted interjections from fractious colonials notwithstanding, in the UK you can order MiC for under £76, postage and packing free. Given that's pretty much what I paid for the 1993 box, adjusting for inflation, I'd call that a very fair deal.

Same here. It'll go at € 100 or thereabouts, which, off of the top of my head, is about equal to the UK price point. And it's not far from the 1993 GV set either, considering all variables.

Adjusting for inflation you may be.. But most people in the free world  don't have their paychecks adjusted for inflation on a regular basis. They either do with out or work more hours to keep the status quo. OOPS. ! I myself am gonna buy the new box set but it is priced high. Here in the states the stock market is booming but the economy sucks.  It"s an employer"s market + wages are significantly down. So a lot of BB fans cant afford the new box set.. Or potential curious buyers.. Some people will wait + buy it used also.. Just sayin !

Fair enough. At it's still much more expensive than box sets by other bands I still don't. Especially as the price of CDs has not increased in line with inflation over the past 20 years.

That £76 is by a merchant seller so it will be interesting to see what the Play.com price will be. £40 would be reasonable.
