Soooo weird how Why Do Fools Fall In Love keeps making even small setlists. I think this is becoming Mike's version of the Shortening Bread obsession??
All setlists, every compilation album, everything. I don't understand it. Ain't on 50 big Ones

Just gotten around to listening to the show (still on a high from actually being there) but disappointed to see that the BBC also edited out (what was my standout moment) ... a wonderful rendition of "Cottonfields" with Scott Totten supplying some wonderful steel guitar fx behind a GREAT vocal by Al !! Also, I wonder why they also edited out the title track from the new album ... So that makes Surfer Girl, Sloop John B, Getcha Back, TWGMTR and Cottonfields as the edited songs ...

Much as I love Cottonfields, you can see the thought processes that went into picking it for the set, and it's BONKERS "This got to number X in Britain, so we have to do it in the set" Considering they are such a creative group, it's incredible how much they (and really, I'm pinning this on Mike) love to stick to boring old facts, figures and statistics.

It's the crinkly eyes.
Pause.
Pole to Pole with Bruce Johnston.
That... sounds filthy.

OK. Just listened to this broadcast while reading everyone's comments while it was happening. Lots of fun.
Finally a decent sounding representation of what this tour sounded like live. Huge and tight. This incarnation of the BBs is a live band to contend with.
Cowsill on drums was the best! EQ on the bass drum sharp and clear. None of this overblown/unnecessary/unnatural overmiking and preposterous low end EQ. Just aggressive muscle hitting skins. It left so much more room in the mix and still commanded the room. He plays with such joy and abandon while still keeping excellent time and driving the whole thing. Good job Mr. Cowsill.
The rhythm section smoked and drove that locomotive that the songs rode in front of. Multi-instrumental band gave the songs size and depth.
I'm not a worshiper but I am a fan. Like everyone else at the 2012 concert I attended, I was astounded at the sheer power of these tunes live. From thunderous rocking power to aching tenderness.
It would be a shame to water this band down. Thank goodness every single second has been professionally documented from every angle. Future generations can see what all the fuss was about.

Just had another listen. Didn't realize the first time that Mike sings the melody of the album version on "Isn't it time"'s middle part instead of the single's melody

For those that recorded it, did the original broadcast include the songs that are said to have been edited out? Also, are the only nice people those that recorded it?

It does not - What could possibly happen at some point is the full gig is broadcast, although that will probably not happen any time soon
