I really love the "new" version of Must Be a Miracle. I wonder if there's any other re-recordings of the Paley material we haven't heard yet?
The vocal on it sounds much closer to Imagination-era than the Paley sessions, but the backing track doesn't have that sheen from Imagination.
We know that Brian, Andy and Don Was produced a track for The Beach Boys in 1995, so that's probably what this is, with later vocals. There's also a version of God Did It with Brian singing lead from the same period, and a few other whole songs that haven't been bootlegged. Release it all!!! +1 I'd bet the Paley Sessions will be out before too long. Maybe there's a little appetite for a 30th anniversary deluxe package ? ?

I also still find it fascinating how Al Jardine has been touring full-time with Brian now for almost TEN years, and he's still largely ignored. I'm not saying he should be a main focus, but we get more interview footage with Nick Jonas than Al Jardine in this (who gets one very quick interview clip). I dunno, maybe the point was to *not* interview very close friends and family for this (in which case, why is Al there at all then?). But Al would have some very specific keen insights into Brian's life, having been back in it since 2012 and being able to contrast it to the past.
Maybe the Jardine bit was just a leftover from the interview for Streetlight Harmonies of a few years back ?

Are we expecting any December treats?
Live shows?
Stray 'unreleasable' tracks?
Didn't Mark mention in an interview a few months back that there was at least one more Dennis track from the Poops sessions that didn't make it into the box set.

Just wondering about the various releases.
I know the 5CD set is the most comprehensive with the 48 page booklet.
What do the other releases come with?
The 4LP set looks like it comes with a 36 page booklet and a 'poster' - is there a difference in the written content of the booklet, or just less pictures?
The 2 CD is a short booklet with no essay - about 12 pages, is that right?
Is there any substantive booklet with the 2 LP set? If so, how many pages? What is omitted?
I've got both the 5 & 2 CD Sets , so sadly can't comment on the vinyl release(s) The 2 CD Set comes with a 20 Page Booklet with the Howie notes on the inside of the gatefold Thanks. Any more on the vinyl sets? Didn't anyone buy them?

US Singles Box : Not played it – still unopened and shrink wrapped! Not really sure how this qualifies as a "defect", at least not a defect in the product. Has anyone else had this problem with an EU Feel Flows : When I open the ‘book‘ the essay and the track listing is UPSIDE DOWN Yes, my first page is an upside down #48! The picture of the band on stage. But upside down! All the other pages continue all the way through to page #1 – ALL UPSIDE DOWN!! The CDs are then the right way up... In my set the entire booklet was upside down, every page and the covers, then I just stood on my head while I read it - it's all good now, except for the headaches I get.

When I brought McCartney into this, I was really getting at the fact that both are "long past their prime" artists doing what they do "by themselves" in the studio without outside influence, control, help, guidance.
Some of that might be true in both cases, some a bit of a stretch, and some plainly not true.
I think I will really enjoy this new outing from Bri. Really looking forward to sketches of SMiLE track, but my desire for a rehash is far outstripped by my want of that one new Brian original on the doco soundtrack.

Haven't read through the entire thread, but fwiw pretty sure Richie was with the boys for the first concert tour when I saw them (I was about 15) - Summer in Paradise Australian tour Nov 1992. I could check because I actually got a hold of airline manifests showing their movements around the country - I don't recall which airline right now - plus I almost forgot but I also took about 50 very bad photos that day including whole stage shots.
