One of my (and my wife's) fondest memories of Brian was, I think, it was 2002 Pet Sounds Tour and Brian came to the fore during the encode wearing a Santa hat and playing bass on a few numbers. It was so great just to see him standing up and moving around a bit and genuinely enjoying it.
What was odd about it, and it didn't detract from the joy of that experience, but what was odd was that he did not seem to want to help the roadie who would not only hand him the bass, but also reach around and put the shoulder strap on him as well. It struck me as so strange I still remember it clearly, but then I probably saw at least 3 shows of that tour.

There are a couple of Paramount tracks on the box. While we were working on it, Al was extremely impressed with the keys of FEET and was very happy to know that it was Meros.
He really wanted him to get the proper acknowledgement for services rendered. He never remembered hearing anything other than the Red Barn rehearsals of this material -- he was floored that it had been recorded on multis.
Get psyched everybody -- I promise, good things are on the horizon.
As usual, thanks Howie.

I put more stock in any information from Howie than anybody else. That said, I have a very strong hunch this information is indeed correct
O only quoted AGD in this case because it was the most recent confirmation that I had heard about it. Ordinarily Howie would also be my go-to guy. Howie is da man when it comes to Feel Flows box set news. Are we thinking that the version of I've Got A Friend is just the track, or that a vocal sync from a live recording has been done?

It's also worth noting that there was much more external recognition / reputation around Brian and his ability in 1967 vs 1964. Perhaps some outside production would've been more successful than previously. Counter to that he did a few more Honeys things without any great success.
There is also at least one parallel in the Fred Vail album project a few years later.
Perhaps the biggest point regarding production was that to Brian at that time, production and songwriting were one and the same, for the most part at least. I would say that at least 90% of what Brian produced, he wrote. That percentage is considerably higher if you add in valuable reinterpretation.
The other thing is, the Beach Boys sans Brian . . had no material at that time. None. Hence Al's "attempt" at Good News during the Smiley Smile sessions.

Who plays the bass on Aren’t You Glad? From my understanding it was Carl because of how the bass sounded, but for whatever reason on Wikipedia it was switched to Brian, which just doesn’t sound right. Was it Carl? As soon as I saw that happen on Wikipedia I began questioning anyone and everyone that could have possibly made that change.
My guess would be it's Brian. I think there was a feeling until a few years ago that Brian didn't do much in those sessions, but around the time of Sunshine Tomorrow that seemed to change a bit, with recognition of Brian's more extensive involvement. I don't remember any specific piece of info coming out to change that particular reference though. C-man might jump in at this point. . .

His page says portions will be donated to charity.
I personally don't have an issue w/ Mike joining Cameo. I think it's a great platform and can bring a lot of happiness to people.
So he's donating next to nothing of hardly anything to charity - I withdraw my criticism. Look I get the point that Mike might be spreading some joy, but seriously, how many people are going to use this? and what is a 'portion' usually when that word is used it's a small portion.

It's still very active on here when we actually have news
Right. That Endless Harmony board is far busier but not in a good way in that there some really bland threads that have no interest, at least to me. Just a heaping amount mundane crap that most of us know anyway. The threads here are mostly interesting but there have been a few duds which happen everywhere. Besides that, I like the mods here as opposed to the Gestapo in EH land. No soup for you!

Hmmm, I wonder when this set is coming out
Okay - now you're talking. If it was before mid-May we'd probably have some solid info by now. I was hoping for June which would be early Summer - plus I just want this asap. The 22 July date, although not a Friday is the best lead we have - just thinking outside the square here for a mo - that date is a Thursday, which if this box was to be released on the Friday morning in New Zealand, Australia etc. - that would still be Thursday in the U.S. - what do you guys think of that logic? My money is on 23 July for the time being (until I change my mind . . . again). Just couldn't resist an "I called it!" Unless you changed your mind . . . Again. Yeah, well, . . .

2 things: One, the date of that amazon link box isn't necessarily accurate, even if it is the box. That thing is just a placeholder for now, and anything can change about that; Two, if the "machine is at full speed" ie. this box set is literally being manufactured, then the release date is before September.
