Excellent job, guys! ESQ arrived yesterday and I read it cover to cover. Love the insights on the BB's recording process during this time. The photos are great. Did anyone notice that there are pics of each Wilson brother playing drums? That shot of Dennis on the old motorcycle is very nice, too.

Yelp says that Wilson is closed. Drat! I was hoping to catch lunch there next time I was in L.A. Michael has a very good reputation as a chef, I suspect he'll land on his feet pretty quickly. I'd love to see him compete on Iron Chef America. If anyone knows where Michael's hanging his chef's hat these days, please let us know.

In Bloom is comprised of Justyn Wilson, Carl B. Wilson, and Mario Tucker. I don't know how active they are as a band these days, but they do show up at CWF benefits. Jonah Wilson sells high-end real estate. Dennis' son Michael owns a restaurant in Culver City, called appropriately "Wilson." Last I heard, Carl was working there as well. Scott Wilson is in the construction business and he built the Beach Boys Historical Monument in Hawthorne. I was at the concert at Royce Hall in 2002, where Carl B. Wilson sang "Forever" with In Bloom. Carl brought the house down with his rendition, it seemed like he was channeling his dad at times -- a very emotional performance. He's one hard-working drummer, too, and uses one of his dad's kits. There's a photo of that performance at: http://www.carlwilsonfoundation.org/walk02/concert02b.htm

Love him, miss him, celebrate him. One of the best, ever.
Carl was a true gentleman, a very generous man, gracious to the BB's fans, with a magnificent voice and a sharp sense of humor. Those who get a chance to meet his sons Jonah and Justyn will see a lot of him in them, not just in looks but also personality.

Yes, it's Christian Love. I find it hard to put my feelings into words sometimes. I still miss Carl -- and I'm always going to miss his voice and presence onstage -- he's irreplaceable. But I'm just so happy to see Al onstage with Mike and Bruce again and to hear Al's and Matt's voices in the mix once more. Their addition/return is such a positive thing.
