I remember seeing another picture with this setting, without Carl. In the Heroes & Villains book perhaps? I think it was labelled as Brian & Mike signing the Warner/Reprise contract in 1970. If that's correct: was Carl growing a beard that early? I thought it wasn't until after the Sunflower album being released that we saw a bearded Carl.

Rule of thumb, think BEFORE you post. And THINK how it may affect someone else's feelings. Check out the Beach Boys Starline website, the place for pictures of many countries Beach Boys releases on 45. Listening to you I get the music; Gazing at you I get the heat; Following you I climb the mountain; I get excitement at your feet Right behind you I see the millions; On you I see the glory; From you I get opinions; From you I get the story

The strange one is from the video shoot for their collaboration with the Fat Boys on Wipe Out. Carl stayed away from that one (can't really picture him in that hat!)

That 1971 shot is from the Leaf book. All the 1985 copies have that distortian by Brian's mouth but the 1978 originals have the picture clear.
