Well, Rob, it's more likely Bob Lamm than Kath 'cause Lamm plays keys in Chicago. Was Carl working with Lamm in 1973? Maybe so, but I thought Chicago got together with The Boys in '74.....

Good point , however maybe Dennis was working with Mrs Lamm (Karen) at that time  Roll Eyes

Yep, I was at that Oakland show June '74 and Hinsche was on keys.

Now for the other shots. Was also at that show in Sacramento (and Winterland) in November, '73.  Don't remember who was on keys!  Billy?

I can tell you that Carli Munoz & Billy Hinsche (& some times Carl & Dennis) played keyboards when I saw the band in December of '73, but that person doesn't look familiar to me.  A slight resemblance to Billy, but hair is too straight & short.  Another mystery.

Another guy on this board (Steve Bonilla) was also at that '73 Sacramento concert and may remember who played the keyboard. Haven't seen Steve in awhile, though.   Steve?   STEVE?   HEY STEVE!!!

There's a nice KZAP poster that I absconded with after the concert.  Sits framed behind glass in my collection.

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

"Wishing You Were Here" backing vocals were recorded at Caribou 3 days before this gig, if that means anything.  But here's some pics of the Lammster from around that time:

The above from 10/1/73

The above from 7/7/73

I don't know.  Still not sure.

It's possible Carl and/or Dennis asked Lamm to come out to Cali for a gig or two after the Caribou session:

13 - Chicago session: Wishing You Were Here backing vocals [Caribou]
14 - Denver Coliseum, Denver CO* [w/Steve Miller Band and Eric Anderson]
15 - Celebrity Theater, Phoenix AZ [2 shows]
16 - Convention Center, Anaheim CA [w/Three Man Army]
17 - Winterland, San Francisco CA [w/Commander Cody and Three Man Army]
18 - Winterland, San Francisco CA [w/Commander Cody and Three Man Army]   (I was at this concert too).
20 - California State University, Chico CA* [w/Three Man Army]
21 - Memorial Auditorium, Sacramento CA [w/Three Man Army]   (The concert with the questionable keys player above).

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.
