Actually Townshend knocked Pet Sounds and Good Vibes when they came out for being too ornate. Funny I think he got more pretentious then Brian ever did from Tommy on though I love his early work. Moonie was the big fan, and Brian went to one of his birthday parties.

What time frame is that last picture from?  Brian's face looks really thin for what appears to be a bit later of a picture.  Very cool pics lately.

He does look healthy, but in photos from that era (including this photo) he always looks like a deer in the headlights. He just looks disturbed to me, and it's sad.

Was he on the health food trip as well?  It seems like I read that it was something he kind of expected of others but was not willing to participate in himself.  Either way, he does look very fit in this pic but there is still something rather disturbing in those eyes.

There is a great photo of Brian in the Carl Wilson memorial program from the Carl Walk from 1970 him and Carl. Brian is as thin as 1963 in it. Looks great anyone see it.
