They're just trying to -

http://keepinthesummeralive.tumblr.com/

I've seen some people expressing their boredom with the forum at times lately.  I've put together a little site in hopes of provoking some entertaining discussion.  Mainly, it's just a place to share some of my favorite Beach Boys audio and video.  Check it out, maybe you'll see a clip you've never laid eyes on before.  You never know!

Great stuff, Will C. I look forward to further additions.

BTW, thanks for your work with Stephen W. Desper re: the study-videos.

Wow. So finally I get to see that "Mike Come Back to LA" session. So cool. Brian looks totally confident and in charge. Which I gotta admit is surprising, because I thought by and large the MIU trip was not a fun one for him. Although I'm sure this was one of the happier moments for him. I wonder if it was chemically stimulated.

Thanks a gazillion, very interesting stuff. And heart-warming, seeing da boys having so much fun.  A great song, too. Why in the world isn't Some of Your Love praised as much as Goin' On? Two high points of KTSA.

What year was that being shot?

Who's the guy sitting at the drums? Looks like Carl rather than Dennis.

Very happy to wake up to some nice comments! It's wonderful that you are all getting to check out some things you may not have had an opportunity to see.  I'm going to try to keep that site rolling, so that there's always some interesting stuff going on.  Anybody catch the clip from 1980 where Brian tells Al the show could really go over tonight cause "we're so good." That's a funny moment!

Thanks for the kind words about the Stephen W. Desper study videos, metal flake paint! More to come! Perhaps Keepin' The Tumblr Alive can serve as another site for the study videos to be housed.

I've updated the site today with a couple things.  A picture of Carl working out a set list on a chalk board that includes Take A Load Off Your Feet, Long Promised Road, and other goodies.  Also, footage of Al dedicating Lady Lynda with a kinda/sorta faux-pas.  A magazine ad from 1967 for the release of the Heroes and Villains single is also up there.  More to come!

That Al gaff made me laugh quite a bit  Grin Also, was your Adieu or Die project mentioned on here by any stage?! Completely flew under the radar for me, but I'm digging the heck out of it!

Thanks, Will C; it's always good to see any BB footage for the first time (I had see some, but not all of these clips).  And yes, Micha, that WAS Carl on the drums.  Baby brother's talents were truly diverse, though all three of the Wilson brothers were musically gifted and each of them could and did learn to play a variety of instruments.

Quzi, I mentioned Adieu Or Die here back when it was brand new, which was early 2012.  I can understand why it would fly under the radar, but I'm always quite happy to hear somebody is digging it, so thanks a lot for letting me know.

I strongly encourage you to click this link - http://willcmusic.com/adieu-or-die/

Downloading "Adieu Or Die" via the bulleted/bolded hyperlink at the top of the above site will begin a download of the FULL Adieu Or Die project.  You may have already done this, but I wanted to let you know it comes with more than what the Soundcloud Adieu Or Die offers.  It will include a 38-page PDF booklet with liner notes, quotes, illustrations unique to the project, and more.  Hope you continue to delve into it! I worked on it for a long long time.

Happy to share, The 4th Wilson Bro.! The community aspect helps us all out... for example, you guys pointing out Carl on the drums when I hadn't even noticed him there!

I got a kick out of that too, Quzi.  It was fairly obvious that Al realized what he had said just a split second after the words came out of his mouth.  I think I detected a hint of embarrassment on his face before the clip ended.  LOL

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.
