It's the only Everly Brothers I own, sadly. Found it in the bottom of a discount bin at Walmart about two years ago.
Anyway, it's a great collection of songs, expect "Ebony Eyes," maybe.

My favorite is undoubtedly "Cathy's Clown" - a magical song. My second favorite (and one I was first introduced to by Harry Nilsson) is "Walk Right Back."
I'll have to look for more of their albums.

^That's the only Everly Bros album I own as well. Love all songs except for the limp 'Lucille'.  The favourite's gotta be 'All I Have To Do Is Dream'.

Listening to Daft Punk's 'Random Access Memories' for the first time right now.

If Don were isolated from Phil, went along as a separate picture, I'd be thinking it's Laurence Juber, former member of "Wings". Anyway, back on topic, I finally listened to Kirsty Maccoll's debut & when track 11 came on, I was gobsmacked to find out she replicated the Rip Chords' awesome cover of "She Thinks I Still Care", only "he" instead of "she", with the "Blue Moon" guitar solo & spoken bits: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQKgaPqvAig&feature=kp

I heard plenty versions of it (Del Shannon, John Fogerty, Beck) & they all had the George Jones-sung melody. Having folk & country roots, one would expect that Kirsty would do likewise but instead, she picked some surf band's obscure cover (though there's basically only a lyrical similarity). So cool, that means she's actually been listening to The Rip Chords, loved their cover so much so she then decided to sing the song that way. Compare: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIXNJDmgCGk
The latter wins by a lot - it's too catchy & the background vocals are way superior here.

It's a very good album, if a tad odd.

Those 3 new Pixies EPs. They're most excellent. Looking forward to the upcoming LP!

The Bilinda Butchers, named after the vocalist/guitarist from My Bloody Valentine, are an excellent dream pop group that makes gauzy snythpop and have three EPs and some demos on their Bandcamp -- all for free too!

In particular, you should check out their 2011 EP Regret, Love, Guilt, Dreams...

...and the Goodbyes EP from 2012:

They'll have a new album out sometime in 2014, possibly within the next couple months as I read in a recent interview that they're almost ready to send it off for mixing.

I've been listening to this album lately, too.

"Hickory Wind" is a masterpiece of loneliness.

I came upon this split EP with contributions by Yohuna, Emily Reo, MoonLasso, and Brown Bread last night. I had not previously heard of any of these artists but it's an excellent slice of ambient pop music. The music is largely insular, dreamy and synth-based with fleeting female vocals laid over it. There isn't a weak track on the release but I'm particularly taken by Emily Reo's contributions...

A metric f***-tonne Blue Öyster Cult by way of the Columbia Albums Collection between repeated plays of Colin Blunstone's "One Year" and everything by Everything But the Girl.
