Am I the only one that gets absolutely KILLED by "Groovy Kind Of Love"? I've had this 2 minutes of 60's pop greatness looping on my Spotify for the past half hour. So good!!

Out of View
, especially
"See You"
and
"You're So Cool"
. I found the former randomly when I was rolling and Internetting, and it was and remains transcendent. I guess you could say it's "tweegaze"? I'm more than OK with this. :3

The new Kanye West album, Yeezus. Good god.
It sounds amazing - really brutal minimal production, distorted vox - but he is/is portraying such a unpleasant character at points and it's hard to know how seriously you can take a man snarling 'I AM A GOD/HURRY UP WITH MY DAMN CROISSANTS'. If it's a joke, it's unrelenting.
I think Occams Razor applies - Kanye is an egomaniac who takes far too much cocaine.

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.

Bob Dylan - Desire
I like it more than 'Blood On The Tracks', but I certainly wish that Bob would have written the lyrics himself.

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme. 'For Emily, Wherever I May Find Her' floors me every time I hear it.
Also, I'm really into Lou Reed's Berlin lately. Especially The Kids and The Bed.

My wife and I switched from all the expensive gourmet froo-froo stuff, to good ole "good to the last drop" Maxwell House. At first it seemed kinda bad... now I love it. And it's soooo much cheaper.

Elvis -
His Hand In Mine
Such a great album. For years I had only had the gospel collections -- but hearing this original album in its original sequence is much, much better. I have the FTD.

Today on the way to work I listened to 20/20 (it took me the entire side one of the original album to get there). Side two for the ride home.
