"The Beach Boys have also confirmed concerts throughout Europe with additional European territories to be announced shortly. The Beach Boys will also perform shows in Japan, and concerts in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia will be announced soon. All confirmed tour dates can be found on TheBeachBoys.com."

Where was this quoted from? I'm crossing everything for a UK date to be announced or even some more Europe if they definitely don't do UK.

Yeah! I am!

It'll be my first time seeing any incarnation of the Boys live...was only a tween when Carl passed. Hopefully they won't disappoint.

I think my only reservation about this tour is no Billy H, Eddie Carter, Bobby F, Carli Munoz, or for that matter Blondie and Ricky...but it's a very very very minor quibble. The current band is doing a more than knockout job. I guess it just seems weird that Mike and Al are the only ones in the current tour that also played on Beach Boys in Concert. But the presence of Dave Marks does kind of make up for that...

I think we will be seeing a very different show than these first few considering the venue.

Ticketmaster now showing the Red Rocks show on July 9th instead of 10th.  Still no date for tickets and neither VIPNation nor the Beach Boys site reflects the change.

So I guess "That's why God made the Radio" is the title then? Thought they said just yesterday that it was rejected for the title because it was too long?

Yes and no. It has the name 'God' in it.

Agree with all of that.  Guest appearances would be neat, but don't think it'll happen.  Dave Marks wasn't around for the Beach Boys in Concert in the early 70's, so it's his turn to be in the limelight now.

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

Yep. I don't want a BBs Fans And Celebs Tribute 50th Anniversy Show, I want as much as the original line up as there can be put together.

See?

And there always is the risk that David Hasselhoff steps in too.

New dates in Spain:

July 21 Hoyos del Espino, Ávila (Gredos 2012, Festival Músicos en la Naturaleza)
July 23 Poble Espanyol, Barcelona

Bruce told us in Madrid last year that there would be four dates in Spain in 2012, so two dates is not bad at all!!

These news made my day!! I'm a happy man!!

For those going to the show at Summerfest in Milwaukee, this may or may not be of some interest to you.  I just found out that the band Chicago will be performing on another stage later the same night (July 1st).

The Beach Boys hit the Marcus Amphitheater stage at 7:30.  Chicago starts their set at the brand new BMO Harris Pavilion at 9:45, which works out perfectly.  The 5,000 seat (and an additional standing room viewing area accomodating another 5,000) BMO Harris Pavilion is still under construction, but will be ready for Summerfest's opening on June 27th.

If you already have your Beach Boys ticket, admission to the Chicago show is free.  However (this is the cool part), Summerfest will be reserving 2,500 seats (the first 26 rows) for their 'Blue Circle Seat Pass' program.  The Blue Circle passes are free (3 dollars if you buy from Ticketmaster), and are available on a first come, first served basis.  The Blue Circle passes for the Chicago show will become available on May 11th at the Marcus Amphitheater box office (free) or through Ticketmaster ($3.00).

The Pavilion's 5,000 permanent seats are covered, so you won't get wet if it rains.  The pavilion is conveniently located right next to the Marcus Amphitheater, so you won't have to walk to the other end of the grounds to get there.  And if you get one of the Blue Circle Seat Passes, you're guaranteed a seat in the first 26 rows, even if you get there late.  Sounds like a great deal to me.  I plan on getting one of those passes for $3.00 from Ticketmaster on May 11th.

That's all.  Beachago 2012.

I just came across wikipedia's site for the reunion tour http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Beach_Boys_50th_Anniversary_Reunion_Tour and found this about Wal-Mart's zinepak:

Last, the pack reveals that Mike Love will produce a different setlist for each night of the tour.

First: does it ?

Second: did he do a of yet ?

I'm kinda shocked at this point about the band not making a stop here in KC. ALL the big name bands stop here. You see we have this place called the SPRINT CENTER here and it is currently ranked number 7 IN THIS WHOLE WORLD for concert revenue. In the US alone it ranks number 2 ! Just these facts alone would make a date here AUTOMATIC. Plus which if you look at that map plot of tour locations, there's a big 'ole hole right in the the middle of THE HEART OF AMERICA. Betcha we get added! (wishful thinking).

I hope you're right.  Either that or I'm hoping that they are announced for the Red Sky Festival here in Omaha tomorrow- they do have the dates open and the show is run by Live Nation.  I'll drive to Colorado if I have to, but won't complain if I don't have to as schedule-wise it won't work out the greatest....
