Michael Edward Love, born this very day seventy years ago and still being handsomely paid to do what he likes best. I'd say, he's got it right.

Happy Birthday Mike, a controversial figure, but one whose longevity, endurance and stamina should be commemorated !

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.

Happy 70th Mike! After 45 years you have finally accepted, and have good things to say about Smile. I knew you would come around eventually. Here's to another 70 more.

(Does anybody know Mike's favourite (alcoholic) drink?)
Anywhere, it's with your favourite alcoholic drink I salute you, Mr. Love!
Wonder, what he's doing for his birthday.. And I'd like to hear what the other Beach Boys say to him on the phone. Or is Brian just tweeting him?

70 Big Ones to Michael indeed! I'm sure he'll like 70...although maybe not as much as he liked 69. I guess now he's 69 with one finger up his ass.
Happy birthday Michael!

Jeez, you're right. I remember I read that somewhere. Is he strictly abstinent or just not that into a drink from time to time?
Got to be a hell of a birthday party - everybody sitting around, meditating, 100% sober.
The party peaks when Bruce takes his baseball cap off. Then everybody's off to bed.

I just remembered that this morning. I cannot believe a Beach Boy is 70
I'm officially depressed. It doesn't seem right that Beach Boys should get old (but I guess it's way better than the alternative). Dennis' "we'll be on stage in wheel chairs" comment is coming to mind. Oh well, they'll always be young in my heart

I wish I could say that statement was 100% mine. The gist of it is from a George Carlin monologue on his own 70th birthday.

I echo AGD's message. Mike's getting paid handsomely to do something he enjoys, and he can still do it at 70. A controversial figure, yes...but none of us is perfect.
Happy birthday Mike Love. Are you celebrating with Brian?
