How many BB song titles does include the word surf/surfing/surfer(s)?

why don't you find out yourself...use a discography. I'd wanna be lazy too. I don't blame you. that seems like a boring task.

You're right.  Another pointless post by me.   Embarrassed Sorry.

Good pub quiz question: how many Beach Boys album titles begin with the letter "S"?
55. Unless The Shift is a T song...
oops. I thought that said SONGS not ALBUM TITLES.

Another reason why it's such a good pub quiz question!  LOL

I mean, do you include stack of Tracks? Symphonic Sounds? Star & Stripes? Specific Ocean Blue?

Two of the sleeves at least are different – lack the "Stereo" tag top right. So there's some justification…

Boy, you must have heated Pet Sounds though… !  LOL

Who besides Ricky, played drums at "the" Carnegie Hall show (the one used for two of the tracks on Endless Harmony)?  Mike Kowalski?  Dennis Dragon?  And since that version of "Long Promised Road" features flute, is it correct to assume the drums on it are being played by the "other" drummer, while Ricky played flute, or did Charles Lloyd also take part in that show?

Thanks!

Must be a pretty good album.

4 mono versions, 2 stereo versions, and 2 neither stereo or mono - probably just the sleeves.

anyone here know why Mike likes the Reno area so much? It just strikes me as odd that one would live away from the area he wrote about, sung about, produced all his songs and lived for most of his life.

Why doesn't Brian arrange more vocals/instruments on other people's (i.e. non-Beach-boys or -related) albums? I know he's done some throughout the '70s but not very many for a guy famed for his skills at arranging. Is it that 2013 (or 1976, 1988, 1995, ...) Brian is obviously not 1967 Brian so why bother?

He's done some (for some reason, the only thing I can think of is a Richard Ashcroft track (which he sings his arrangement, here http://open.spotify.com/track/5CN6w9VTZHdTzudMdN8cU9) but there have been a few more, Bellagio is your friend) but I guess he just doesn't want to? I just think no-one asks him, maybe because his management shoots them down a lot. You don't get people of Brian's era doing a lot of outside work nowadays, if indeed they ever did.

Brian still arranges all the vocals for his solo stuff & TWGMTR, so you can't write him off.

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.

He did "Adios" for Linda Ronstadt, who told the great story in the IJWMFTT film. She said Brian was getting mad because he couldn't figure out the vocal parts, then went to the piano, played a two-chord boogie-woogie song for a couple of minutes, then came back and nailed the complicated harmonies.

When did the group start doing that "vamp" that leads into Help Me Rhonda from the Knebworth show? When did they stop doing it? I know that they were doing it back in 1979, because they do it at the Japan show that I have.

It's not a photo, it's a mirror, and I think it's from earlier than that.

Yeah, you're right. Capitol sure was bad with what photos they used on what releases...
