Maybe it's just me - and granted I'm not in the best possible mood right now - but does anyone else here not think it weird, deeply creepy and downright unsavory that people, presumably overwhelmingly male, are asking for pics of a Beach Boys genitalia ?

Completely agreed.

I found those Pamplin pictures to be disturbing...

Yet you looked, what were you expecting to see?

I thought it was a joke and it wasn't actually there  LOL How wrong I was!

Is it really any weirder than knowing Brian's grades in high school?

Does anyone know what kind of keyboard they used for "Friends"?
You can hear someone messing around with one in the beginning few seconds of the live version on MiC.

I'm just gonna bump my question
Guessing only that it's "The Baldwin" [...]
Which one though?

I am interested in knowing who were the back up musicians, incl. horn players, who played on the BB's live album Live in
London 1969 ( which was really recorded in 68).  I've tried a few searches to no avail.

Thanks for any direction!
I think Ed Carter played with them during this time
Ed Carter did Bass and Lead Guitar on "Bluebirds over the Mountains" and "All I Want to Do"
Daryl Dragon played Keyboards
Mike Kowalski was there too, but I think AGD said that all he did on the album was percussion because Dennis drummed on every song.
-- Thanks --

These were the musicians who played on the BB's In Concert (1973) album, so Carter and Kowalski were constant since  Live in London '69?

Additional musicians
Ed Carter – bass guitar, lead guitar
Billy Hinsche – piano, electric piano, guitar
Robert Kenyatta – percussion
Mike Kowalski – drums, percussion
Carli Muñoz – organ, electric piano

Does anyone know where the 1976 Brian Wilson interview with Bob Harris can be found?  It seems to have disappeared from Youtube.  Maybe someone else could reupload it...   Cool

There's some silent footage from the 1963 Hawaiian tour (June 14-22) shot by Elmer Marks that's been used in a few docs. Otherwise, not that I know of.

 Cheesy

Alec looks like he's got someplace else better to be afterwards.

Also... my question:  is anybody else tired of those backgrounds they use for these photo-ops?  You know, with the multiple logos?  Am I right?  Boring!  Hello?

How about they use something completely off-the-wall (to pun-it up a bit)... like a picture of sea-horses and mermaids.  I don't know... just sayin.

When did they start muting Brian and Denny's pianos? was it in the late 70s or just in the 80s?

Can someone please verify for me that these four songs were recorded during the 15 Big Ones sessions: Peggy Sue, On Broadway, Deep Purple and My Diane? Also, besides Sea Cruise and Battle Hymn... were there any other unreleased tracks recorded in 75 and early 76? Thanks!

Let's have a good discussion about Live in Knebworth 1980...

The main issue I'd rather discuss is why the full show wasn't included on the DVD/CD.
Using Eric A's setlist website (http://members.tripod.com/~fun_fun_fun/6-20-80.html), we can see that there were about 7 tunes left off: In My Room, Good Timin', Some of Your Love, I Write the Songs, Catch a Wave, Wouldn't it be Nice, and Santa Ana Winds.

So three were basic concert staples/greatest hits (IMR, CAW, WIBN), 2 were concert staples since Bruce came back (obviously GT with the release of LA & IWTS being that it was a huge hit for Bruce), and the other 2 were then current album tracks on the recent Keepin the Summer Alive album (SOYL & SAW).

So for my money, the reason I think they weren't included is that possibly they weren't as good of performances as the rest of the setlist was...now not having heard the Knebworth concert boot in years, I can only remember that Brian flubbed up part of the lyrics to Good Timin'. I also want to say that In My room and Wouldn't it be Nice weren't vocally very good.

So when Alan Boyd put this great concert package together, he must have thought that those songs weren't up to par with the rest and perhaps he didn't include a few of the KTSA songs to not alienate basic greatest bit fans...assuming if they see too many tunes they don't know, it may turn them off.

I don't know for sure....what do you all think?
