I don't believe I've ever commented about either Anthology you guys have worked on, but I wanted to say, I appreciate the love and work you've put into both, and I appreciate you choosing to discuss them here.  Thank you.

Imagine me holding my hands like the proverbial Lady Justice, weighing two different items: "It Is Us", "A Bunch Of Us That Like Brian Wilson Do Our Thing"...

What's wrong with "It is Us (A Bunch of Us that Like Brian Wilson and Do Our Thing)"?

I like it.  Only I would use a colon, ie. "It is Us: A Bunch of Us that Like Brian Wilson and Do Our Thing".  So be it, I say.

I'd like to rework the 'subtitle' from the
first CD to tie the two projects together
(most of you have not seen the graphics that I did)...

Ditto.

I think I'm going to switch my song to "You're Welcome". Some reason I can't get a good grasp on Susie Cincinnati right now.

What is everybody working on so far? I'm torn between "I'M Broke" and "Awake", I have the words and chords to 'i'm broke' I have the chords and worked out nice harmony for 'awake' but I need the lyrics....(or maybe I'll ditch all of those ideas, and submit "God please let us go on this way" I have always loved that one...the choices are mind-boggling...

I'm working on an original modular style composition...actually I've been tinkering with it for awhile but I decided to use this project as a kick in the ass for me to finish it.  It's getting there, but I'm starting to suffer from Wilson-like indecisiveness when it comes to the placement of the sections.  I just keep second guessing myself.  It'll come together I'm sure, but it can be very trying at times!

Hi guys,

Long time no see, but following everyone's song choices with interest...

Just for the record, I've decided to to make a version of Brian's Still I Dream Of It, which I have to say is one my favourite things that he's done. I thought of doing a version anyway, a while before our anthology series, but I've been playing it a fair bit recently so its gonna be the one!

April 1st, though... gonna have to get cracking...!

It's going to be very interesting to see how my vocals compare to Jack R's on my submission of 'A Day In The Life Of A Tree' LOL

Can you post an MP3 sample of it, maybe on http://www.yousendit.com - PLEEZE?  This is one I definitely want to hear ASAP.

I've put together 2 versions for you.

A 1:33 track-only clip of it and 1:36 "proper" version ( .. both taken from the middle of the song) Cool

When I started to take the original apart, I didn't realise just what an intricate song it is. Very, very difficult to "make your own", but I've done the best I can Smokin

The end part reminds me a little bit of 'Holland' Afro

All comments welcome,

Please download the track version first, you can get it here:

http://s55.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0RGVBG5KGDH5S1CSV0RJMGXETO

.. and compare it to the proper version, which can be found here:
