i dont know about that, but was that the filming for the pet sounds promo?

Almost looks like it's when they were doing the music video to "I Just Wasn't Made For These Times"

What really Strikes me is how much better happier and healthier Brian and the others looked at the Pet Sounds sessions as opposed to Smile.

I will post some photos from my collection, as soon as I have time to scan them.  I promised Chuck that I would post a couple of the Beach Boys /  Flame photos from December 1970, after I let Bas have exclusive rights for www.the-flames.com for a few months.

I've always liked pictures like this, or the one with Brian holding the photo of the other four.. it accurately shows his place in the band as some distant figure, apart from all the others..

And that picture from the early 60s is pretty interesting, Dennis singing and Brian on drums, Mike just standing around doing nothing..

i've actually been told that the picture of brian holding the picture of the guys is actually a mirror...how impressive is that? that should have been used as a promo for smile or pet sounds...

I don't think it is -- Carl, Dennis, Al, and Bruce's hair all match up with the side they usually parted it around that time.

Unless the main image is flipped, too..

But you can see a little of Brian's leg in the mirror I believe...
