This was probably posted in one of the Grammys threads but I had not seen it and thought it would be worth a post. Nice seeing Brian looking relatively at ease with his family.  Smiley

Brian looks great in this photo!  Melinda doesn't match him at all though, a little overdressed.

I always found this to be interesting:

Mostly because Carl is wearing what i thought to be the same shirt, unless the second on is the same but faded

Somehow this one always reminded me of Jack Nicholson in Shining. *shudder*

P.S. It's obviously not the same shirt. Just similar.

Similar but not the same, look at the pattern, it makes a V shape on one and an inverted V on the other. Carl looks just like his son Justyn in that picture I think, or Justyn looks like him I should say.

Could be 1976 when he regrew his beard.
I would say 1 - 2 weeks after the Grammys appearance.

I would go with that, it was really just stubble he had at the Grammys and this is like halfway to being a proper beard. Did he ever shave his beard off at any other time?

Rare photos from November 1970, when Brian Wilson (at keyboard) made a very rare onstage appearance with the Beach Boys at the Whiskey-a-Go-Go in LA.

 LOL Hillarious, thanks for sharing.

A band called The Beach Boys are mostly going to be a fun in the sun-themed group. And that has, is, and will always be just as it should. There needs to be ONE classic band that isn't a pack of endless "artistic" moan. All people wanna do is make The Beach Boys into another Beatles they are less tired of.
And, for anyone who has actually experienced them, surfing and cars carry PLENTY of emotion and life experience. They can carry as much metaphor as any Van Dyke Parks clever epistle.

Some Jardine for you:

This one says "Vintage Photo published in Dig Magazine. From left to right: Dean Torrance, Jan Berry,
Alton Libby, Barbara Loo, Dee Dee (Sperling) Phelps, Dick St. John, Al Jardine (Beach Boys),
and either Carl or Brian Wilson on the extreme right" but none of the boys really seems to be there. Jan & Dean are real on the other hand

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

- Lester Bangs on The Beach Boys

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Yeah, no Beach Boys there. Could be some other surf group, those four guys on the right.

Any idea where this is from? Seems pretty recent since that's the replacement Chili Peppers guitarist. Diggin' Al's shirt.
