Under The Boardwalk. Nice Carl Vocals at times, but otherwise a downright awful cover. Give me the original and the Stones version anyday! Still Surfin'. Pretty unbelievable they did a Surfin' song in the bloody 90's. Embarrassing. As for Forever, I hate how the most famous version to the general public is not the original Dennis Wilson classic, but the crappy John Stamos version

Still Surfin'. Pretty unbelievable they did a Surfin' song in the bloody 90's. Embarrassing. 1, What are you talking about? Everybody knows that Bruce Willis` version is definitive! 2, A good job they didn`t do the same in 2012 eh? Anyway, my votes go to: Hot Fun in the Summertime Island Fever

But expectations are not high.

Checked out the Bruce Willis version and was pleasantly surprised. He's certainly not a bad singer, and his version isn't too bad. A lot better than I expected. That said, I'd put it above the Beach Boys version and below the original and the Stones version.

Hey Little Tomboy is creepy. Banging women by the pool is fun and conjures up warm summer thoughts a Beach Boys song should.

Bear with me folks. We are almost out of the DARK AGES for the Beach Boys. Summer in Paradise is the twenty-seventh studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released on August 3, 1992 on Brother Records. Produced by Terry Melcher, it has been described as the band's critical and commercial low point.[1] The Beach Boys did not record another album of original material until That's Why God Made the Radio in 2012. Summer in Paradise was left out of Capitol's Beach Boys re-issue campaign in 2000 and 2001, and is currently out of print. 12 Votes were found Under the Boardwalk 9 for Hot Fun in the Summer Time. (I can't even be arsed to make up something). We need to catch up with rounds #29 and 30 so we are going to begin by VOTING OFF TWO TRACKS per round. Tally on the May 6th!!!! Island Fever Still Surfin' Slow Summer Dancin' (One Summer Night) Strange Things Happen Lahaina Aloha Summer in Paradise Round#1 - Surfin' April 30 Round#1 - Summer of Love April 30 Round#2 - Forever May 2 Round#2 - Remember (Walking in the Sand) May 2 Round#3 - Hot Fun in the Summertime May 4 Round#3 - Under the Boardwalk May 4 My least two faves on this one are easy: Still Surfin' and Strange Things Happen.

Anyone else voted on every single round without a single miss since the first Surfin' Safari round?
What a long and eventful journey this has been... and it ain't even over yet!

Island Fever Still Surfin'
Next round will be hard, we'll be getting into the songs I can actually tolerate.

On our way through this "backstage" maze, Bruce joined up with the group and said hello, singing "It Never Rains in Southern California" and joking with some of the older ladies. I'm not sure if they knew he was a Beach Boy or simply an enthusiastic elderly gay gentleman.
