1. BW gave it the same intro as "Don't Back Down" (should this be added the song the song "connections" thread?)  Grin

2. Maybe it's just me, but this guy on Youtube who posted it doesn't seem to like the song.

Was this even on Smile?
More importantly, is this even the Beach Boys?!

Yes.  Same tempo and everything. (I'm slightly joking, but it's kinda sorta true!)

Teeter Toter Love is nothing but a musical dirty joke, and not a very good one.

Wasn't aware this was part of the Smile Sessions box.

I think the BB should've recorded this around the time of the Light Album. Would've made a nice flipside to Brian's "Teardrops". Grin

That, or they can't read English.

It was on TSS, the five disc set. I have to agree with the poster though, I can't stand it. There are very few songs I strongly dislike, and this is one of them. At least Summer Of Love has comedic value, but I'd say this doesn't even have that. Tongue

Still not as bad as Summer Of Love, however

Wrinkles fails because it has the WORST lyrics of any Mike Love song I've heard. It might not name check any old hits, but that would honestly be better.
Musically, it's not bad. Nothing special or interesting, but not bad.

I have not. If it was on Youtube, I would give it a listen.
Maybe it's for the best that I not hear it?

Teeter Totter Love is a lot better than most of the new music released by the Beach Boys in the mid/late 70's,80s and 90s. Unfortunately that says an awful lot more about the band's quality control and artistry (or lack thereof) than it does about Jasper Dailey's ability as a comedy singer and the compositional/production techniques used on his recordings.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who loves this song and really hopes the other two tracks Brian and Jasper did surface eventually (despite them very likely not existing anymore). Cry

I'm really glad someone thought to include this on TSS, as I'm sure many people involved didn't think it was appropriate for the release. One of those "they're totally thinking of the core fanbase" inclusions.

You're not.

But then I'd love a recording of Brian's farts if cut between August '66 and May '67

I've been a huge fan of this song since I first heard it in November 2011. What's not to love here?

Teeter Totter holds a token scrap of curiousity and mild amusement  value;  amounts similar to those on The Many Moods of Moody Murry.  But that's it - it's TSS's very own Bull Session or I'm Bugged.

While I'm setting about changing the world, Wrinkles is better than Summer of Love.

I like this song. It's fun even with Jasper's lack of being able to sing.

I hate this song. Not because it was recorded or that Brian bothered plaaying with this useless sh*t. I'm just mad it made TSS and thus displaced, for example, something of interest such as more real Smile material. What were the compilers thinking? Heck I'd take Battle Hymn any day over that.

"Battle Hymn..." is great! Whenever it plays I enjoy it, good vocals by Mike & Co. Teeter Totter is awful because I can't stand Dailey's voice; I'd rather hear any of The BBs than some obscure outsider. At least take some singing lessons if you're lucky to have been invited by Brian Wilson himself.
