Band & album on the cover. Cool stuff, if at times too 'electronic' to my taste. I like "Goddess on the Prairie", tho, it's pretty rad.

Been listening A LOT lately to something called No Pier Pressure. Also some classic Reggae files I recorded for my own use a few years ago, A Fool to Care new from Boz Scaggs and the new Colin James album Hearts on Fire. [and No Pier Pressure a few more times...]

Finally got around to listening to the new Queen compilation album - Forever - I got for Xmas.
It's got three "new" songs that were recorded in the 1980s, and two discs of Queen ballads - some of which were hits, some album tracks.
I'd file it under "For completists only." But I'm a completist, and that's why I got it.
Speaking of which, I also finally broke down and shelled out the money for the Made in California box set.

It's been an interesting mix of '67-'72 Hollies and Vampire Weekend. Heard a Father John Misty song a minute ago and I feel he might be next.

Blue Bay Funkydrome (Talkin' Loud)
Promo house/acid jazz/hip-hop sampler from @1990 - Sounds a lot better on second listen.
One of the tracks samples How To Speak Hip.

EIGHT CLASSIC ALBUMS by Lightnin' Hopkins. LIGHTNIN' STRIKES (Vee-Jay, 1962) is especially good.
On You Tube: Tracks from ROCK AROUND THE COUNTRY by Bill Haley & the Comets. Believe it or not, Haley made a pretty good album in 1971, highlighted by nice versions of "Me and Bobby McGee" and "There's A New Moon Over My Shoulder."

Wings'
Wild Life
. Deeply flawed and I ought to hate it, but it's a real grower.
Edit: Having got to know this album a lot better, I can tell you that "Some People Never Know" has become my absolute favourite McCartney tune. Beautiful vocal harmonies and a killer middle-eight.

From the soundtrack to the movie Mortdecai. The soundtrack is very sixtiesish. This song is fucking amazing imo.
