Not usually a compilations person, but my dad is, and I stole this from his iTunes, so yeah... This is great intro stuff to America, though. I knew a handful of their songs through the radio but I've just discovered the Tin Man and my god, those vocals are beautiful.

One day I'll own a player piano (and a jukebox) and all will be as it should. "Who's Sorry Now" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLTxDBuoPgoWhy couldn't Fats domino have recorded this in his prime? I mean, he did "My Blue Heaven" .... And he is the only personality charming enough to not make me cringe upon hearing the final "Im *glad* you sorry now" line. Fats would make it seem gentle , at least, whereas Connie Francis just sounds like a bitch. But I love the melody and the rest of the lyric is perfectly fine , and want to learn it. I think I'll change the last line. I don't want to feel glad that anybody's sorry/fearful/angry. Pshh. Don't tell ascap. Not that anyone cares. Or I will actually perform it .

Sage is great. I had the opportunity to meet him after a show ~5 years ago - a class act and a great artist.

The Hollies did lots of great stuff after Graham Nash left. Romany may be one of the most underrated albums of all time.

Wow, that was one helluva "Let's Have A Party" by Wanda Jackson. I was next jacked-up by the track which followed: "Red Hot" - Billy Lee Riley EDIT: I found it.

soooo it's about time I got into this band. I think I've listened to this album a while back, but I feel much more musically mature (alliteration?) to appreciate this.

Did you spin the first McGuinn, Clark & Hillman album as well Adam? Some damm good stuff on there and probably Gene's last shining moments. I missed the Byrds but caught M, H & C at the old Golden Bear in Huntington Beach. I was pretty blown away when Tom Petty and Tom Campbell sat down at the table next to me. Great show!

They managed to beat Crosby, Stills & Nash at their own game with Romany, I think. This set also includes the great 'lost' follow up album they made with Mikael Rickfors, Out on the Road.

Yup, superb album! I have Out on the Road on cd and the German, I think, LP. Good, but no Romany. Just love Jesus was a Crossmaker, and Down River..... Glad to see Indian Girl back out in the box set. I must buy this for my Xmas present.
