The next part of the project will be a playable version of...

I give you...

Play as Mike Love on the idyllic island retreat of Kokomo. Break up, reunite, then breakup the Beach Boys who are scattered across the island and require terrible sprites of steak, cake, and setlist input. Face wave after wave of paralyzing Smile fans.

Defeat Van Dyke Parks to gain control of history!

There are no words that can express my joy... except....

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
What is this "life" thing you speak of ?

This really makes me want to make an 8bit Mario-esque recording of Kokomo and Summer of Love.

Go for it, it's insanely fun. I've tried a few bad chiptune experiments for this that are pretty ridiculous. Hideous.

I bet! I'll try this soon. With that godawful production on SIP, I wonder if those songs would even sound much different!

PS, you should upload one of your 8bit experiments if you want; I'm quite curious now Cheesy

I wrote a bunch of dialogue, did music and art, and came up with three possibilities:

1) cheap sidescroller parody
2) 16bit style RPG with extremely limited world
3) text adventure with some graphics and sound.

Currently it's a lofi #2, but here's some abandoned silliness:
