I just had a quick Houston detour premiering a feature length version of my weird 1920s collage serial, "Silent Shadow of The Bat-Man" with the incredible 8 piece Two Star Symphony which did a gorgeous job doing a live score. I can't believe I had to babble in front of a thousand people! Thanks! DVDs and VOD are up on Amazon, the MST3K/Mr Show/Firesign Theatre fan in me really geeked out big time snagging some of them to voice it, what a treat to have them read our dumb jokes!

I've been trying to cut the Endless Syncopation Live videos but something is wrong with one of the files, it keeps crashing all my Adobe products in a senseless way... grr! I think I'll try recapturing one of the tapes... or fire up final cut pro. Or place a giant fan aimed at my HD stack. I want to at least stick up all the new song sequences and videos like Little Honda.

 In other news, we've been talking about a few more shows in SF and LA, pushing it to an hour and adding more musicians! This little test was way too much fun to stop now and I'm getting a lot more ideas now that I can incorporate actual multi-instrumentalists instead of just myself plodding away moronically.

Hmmm, turns out the computer was crashing due to the power supply failing. I used my amazing deductive abilities to figure this out when giant sparks, flame, and black smoke shot out of the back of the case from the power supply.

Of course, as I replaced it last night I managed to spill coffee all over the keyboard and ruin that as well... AND scramble the hard drive and mercilessly beat up the boot sectors. Yay.

This really makes me want to make an 8bit Mario-esque recording of Kokomo and Summer of Love.

Go for it, it's insanely fun. I've tried a few bad chiptune experiments for this that are pretty ridiculous. Hideous.

I bet! I'll try this soon. With that godawful production on SIP, I wonder if those songs would even sound much different!

PS, you should upload one of your 8bit experiments if you want; I'm quite curious now :-D

I wrote a bunch of dialogue, did music and art, and came up with three possibilities:

1) cheap sidescroller parody
2) 16bit style RPG with extremely limited world
3) text adventure with some graphics and sound.

Currently it's a lofi #2, but here's some abandoned silliness:
