Thanks to my budding interest in country music, I'm currently rather obsessed with Tanya Tucker's Delta Dawn.

Hungry Heart by Bruce Springsteen

I friggin love that song. I hum Brian's 'Getcha Back' falsetto over the whole thing Grin

I just noticed that Hungry Heart starts out with a Motown pick-up on the drums.

Nice. Cool Guy

Rolling Stones - Silver Train
Relistened to this song to see what you found so special about it &, have to say, I'm still not so keen on it. But after all, nobody seems to like Stones' December's Children record which is in my Top-3 of theirs. So, as they say, tastes differ.
Really? It gets me pumped..When I listen to it it makes me want to dance or skateboard..Whenever I work out it's the first song i play on my ipod. (it hits me every time.)
To be honest I'm not very fond of December's Children ..lol..it has a few joints on there that are decent but overall the album was not as great because it was very early in their career and well there wasn't anything too special about RS pre-satsifaction. lol The first album in my opinion that took them to another level was Aftermath.

Axl on piano and vocals, and Slash on guitar doing a great cover of a tremendously underrated song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yu26EC7bZnA&feature=related

Not if it sounds like you're being sarky to someone whose first language isn't English. If you weren't, I apologise.

I've been seriously into The School's two albums, Loveless Unbeliever (2010) and Reading Too Much Into Things Like Everything (2012). Both are excellent, obviously Beach-Boys-styled twee pop but don't seem to be slavishly reverent to their influences. Good songwriting is important too! Particular stand-outs, two from each album: "Let It Slip" and "All I Wanna Do", "Baby Won't You Stay With Me Tonight?" and "You Make Me Hear Music (Inside My Head)".

I have my set music I like listening to on my mp3 player everyday (Beach Boys, Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, Pink Floyd), just a mix of the classics.

Though I do obsess and play to death certain songs.  Currently that would be...

No Matter What (by Badfinger)
Vegetable Man (Pink Floyd)
Let The Sun Shine (5th Dimension)
Paradise (Coldplay)
Best of Herp Alpert (Lonely Bull)
Never Getting Back Together (Taylor Swift)
Stop Right Now (Spice Girls)
Theme to "You Only Live Twice" (Nancy Sinatra) - I'm obsessed with that brilliant violin riff.

Obscure list I know.  LOL

A bunch of Magnetic Fields songs: "1000,000 Fireflies"; "When You Were My Baby"; "The Saddest Story Ever Told"; and "Born On A Train". (Also check out cover of "Born on A Train" by The Cat's Miaow!)

In light of the hurricane, I've been listening to Shelter From the Storm by Bob Dylan a lot, but my 45th anniversary set of the Velvet Underground & Nico (a late birthday present) did just come in the mail, so I'm sure I'll be obsessing over Heroin all over again soon.

EDIT: Oh, and Stolen Moments by Oliver Nelson.

You, by George Harrison. Mostly just trying to figure out whether the rhythm is slow or fast. I think there are two drummers, one playing fast (and doing them fills) and the other slow.

Also, just the All Things Must Pass album by George anyway. To the extent where I made an alternate album out of it using bootlegs. Don't think I've ever done that with things besides Smile.

A few weeks ago I listened to "Quick!" (from the recent LP) 20-30 times a day.  Cheesy
