It's a serious hole to be in. We should make sure he's covered.

Ah...so Custom Machine accuses me of telling "porky pies"?
Is AGD really a "ghost"?
Who will seek The Truth?
Will the real AGD stand up?

Never mind Andrew. I'm sure Phil Cohen will have it covered for ya!
The stars seem to be well and truly aligning for Phil don't they?

I just hope that AGD didn't lose any of the memory on his computer - after all, he was holding the exclusive liner notes, graphics, and wav files of the entire contents of the box set! If that is lost...it will mean further delays in the Smile box set!

So, I have this theory, right, that Brian Wilson actually became a Hindu during Smile because he read this book by the Dalai Llama and meditated with him, and Brian's autobiography backs this up, and Smile is supposed to represent the arms of Ganesha.
Does anyone dispute this?

I heard that Brian actually WAS the Dalai Lama in the 70's, but apparently cocaine abuse and a fondness for steak are fairly suitable grounds for dismissal.

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.

Okay, I'll be the voice in the wilderness*.
Brian actually became Jehovah's Witness in 1967. Smile was to have been his teenage symphony to God but rather than release the music on vinyl and take the chance that some people wouldn't buy it, he panicked, scrapped the release of the – get this –
finished
album and embarked on a life-long crusade of calling on people's doorsteps to spread the good news.
Last week he got round to calling on Andrew and bade him to forsake his laptop and followeth him. Which he henceforth and verily hath done.
So worry ye not, cos they'll be chapping on your door soon, to save your souls.
* One of many such voices in the wilderness, I bet, by teatime…
PS: The Dalai Lama's a Buddhist, not a Hindu.
PPS: He's a deity, he can't resign. Job for life. And the next life. And the next next life…

Hi John, I know he's not Hindu, just like Lama isn't spelled 'llama', but i could have been clearer that i was joking...

That makes sense because the original title of 'Look' was 'Watchtower', and the runtime is 140,000 milliseconds (i.e. 2min 33s) to represent the numbers of elect in heaven, I think we both know AGD won't dispute me on that.

MAny nails are being hit on the head here, otherwise AGD'd be all over us. He's obviously content.
We oughta start a thread about the
Remember the Zoo
album and its influence on modern day religious fundamentalism while he's in such an agreeable mood!

Can't the moderator tell where a post is coming from? That is, if I post under a different name, can't the moderator see it is coming from the same computer?

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

Nothing is stopping our beloved scholar walking to a library and using a computer there. Or to a friend's house, if he has one. Or begging on the streets with a sign saying [MUST USE INTERNET / NOT FOR PORN REASONS (ONLY)].

His computer is probably fine.
He probably just wondered what chaos would ensue if he left the board for more than 48 hours.
