Even before the complete page loaded, I saw "Rick Roll'd". If you're going to do it, at least disguise it a little. Fail.

That reminded me of this (He steals a line from Sam Stone), which is kinda creepy in it's bleary, heroin infused schtick. Just the way he sings them so soft/dead.

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.

Surprised he hasn't been mentioned yet, but...
GG Allin. Almost nothing discussed here comes close.

It's certainly unsettling----but a great song in my opinion.
Nice to see The Shaggs getting a mention. Everyone needs to hear
Philosophy of the World
at least once in their lives.
As for Joe Meek, he certainly ending up in some weird (musical) places at times. His "concept" album with The Blue Men,
I Hear a New World
(from 1959!), starts like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mhRt007VAg
Thankfully most tracks are instrumental...

"Am I Normal?" (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qT1Uu3USGn8
) by David (Virginia to her friends) has always unsettled me for some reason----a particular chord progression? The title? Her delivery? The lyrics (reproduced at the YouTube link) are plain bizarre.
Scroll down to Item 128 on this page (
http://www.troubled-diva.com/2003_06_15_troubled-diva_archive.html
) for a spot more information----but not much more.

If you want a truly freaky experience, listen to this for about three minutes, and then open the link up again and start playing it from the beginning, so there are two windows up playing the same song, only three minutes apart.

Hmmmm...odd, weird, disturbing?
Folks, the one and only MACABRE!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUxb139X-N4
Sick humor, basically. Every song is about a serial killer. They even had the nerve to make a concept album about Jeffrey Dahmer. You'll laugh and hate yourself for it later. Great fun, these guys.

I probably couldn't hope to top that, but here's John Frusciante'a Enter A Uh from his 1997 album Smile From The Streets You Hold.

This is not for the faint of heart. I only made it through the entire 8 minutes once. This is not pretty in any shape or form. This is human suffering from the pits of hell. If I had to describe this, I would have to say that this is probably what drug induced psychosis/insanity sounds like.

I was always creeped out by "Dreams Less Sweet" by Psychic TV. I used to know some unusual characters who were realllly into that stuff--but it just feels bad to me. Self mutilation and being buried alive, etc. Bleah.

Self mutilation is something I have some experience in. Something like that is not to be played around with.
