"The Spirit of Rock'n'Roll" is the best uptempo song in Brian's solo career - with or without Dylan.

Looks like the French non-remaster won't solve the problem. To be absolutely sure, I'll have to look for a UK remaster.

So the UK remaster contains the correct mixes and the US remaster doesn't? The French one I was referring to was an earlier non-remaster, so it may also contain the wrong mixes if this wasn't fixed before the UK remaster came out.

If it weren't for the brash, machine-like drumming, "Summer in Paradise" would actually be a fine album. Re-record the drums and there are some pretty solid songs on there.

The worst BB-related song ever, and proof that even Brian can write a clunker, has got to be "He Couldn't Get His Poor Old Body to Move". It sounds like a children's song! Children's songs are fine, but not what I expect when I buy a Brian Wilson single.

I've read somewhere that the French non-remaster of "Ten Years of Harmony" contains different mixes from those on the '92 remaster. Does anyone know anything about this?

Hi, everybody, I'm new here.

Brian has been quoted as saying that the mastertapes for "Sweet Insanity" have been stolen. Is that the tapes for the first version or the second version or both? And how does that affect the chance of "Sweet Insanity" being released in the future? Has Sire got back-up tapes?
