I've just watched the promo video again, and felt that wonderful, excited feeling. I can't wait to hear this,.
Yes! I think I've watched it about three times and every time it gets the juices flowing (and no, I am not talking about jerking off, cochinos)!

I don't know about you but I am really looking forward to making an all-instrumental mix of Smile to (ahem) "relax" to.
Uuuurgh. Man, you've just put me off ever listening to this set. I won't be able to out a disc on without that image now. Tainted. Go wash your hands LOL! That is how much I don't have a dirty mind! I never even thought it'd be construed as masturbating! Good one.

Same here. I never paid for a bootleg. I got into bootlegs in the late 90s so it was more common to trade instead of purchase. But because of those bootlegs I did purchase every official Beach Boys CD to date (except Summer in Paradise of course)!
YEA FOR BOOTS!

Vegetables fade in super clear sound, & the Cabin Essence Tag Sessions too (Which to all of you who haven't heard it before on boots is breathtaking.
I think that the "Vegetables" fade from Unsurpassed Masters, Vol. 17 is pretty clear. IMHO of course. Unless you weren't talking about what is commonly referred to as "Fade to Vegetables". I am really (REALLY) excited for good quality "Child is Father of the Man"! All the booted stuff from this song have been really poor quality... Vigotone is all hissy... Secret Smile is all compressy... and then Unsurpassed Masters has a different version! Yeah, "Child" is going to be marvelous!!

So what is everyone going to do on November 1?
1. Wake up at 8:00 am still wearing my Halloween costume. (I am dressing up as Cassandra from Wayne's World. My girlfriend is going to be Wayne and her sister is going to be Garth.) 2. Take off my costume, clean up, go to work. (Yup, still got work... I teach Astronomy Lab.) 3. Finish up my second class around 4:00 pm and run to my apartment! (I only live two blocks from campus.) 4. Check my mail (cross my fingers that I get it that day.) 5. Have my girlfriend come over (she wants to hear it!!) 6. Smoke. 7. Play disc 1. 8. Play disc 2. 9. etc.

I'm THINKING of making a Stereo heroes, but it's driving me crazy...
Been done. If you're talking about the Hawthorne stereo version... I've never liked it. Too "modern" sounding. If that's a thing. What does that mean? Does every remix done so far sound modern too? Best I can explain is that stereo made in the 60s had a wider separation. The stereo mix in Hawthorn is very loud and things seem to be centered too much (in my opinion of course). But it's all biased. I listen to a lot of 60s music so I prefer that was of mixing. That being said, I don't like the bass and drum being tossed to the left or right channel very extreme like some Beatles stereo tracks. So my taste it not steadfast by any means. Then you must really dislike the 2-fers. They are all louder and brighter, though that brightness helps the vocals stand out. The two TSS tracks (H&V & GV) are very bright. Yeah, not a fan of the 2001 remasters. I prefer the 1990 cds

It might be just me but I would have preferred less "Good Vibrations" sessions and more core-SMiLE sessions. Or possibly the full Psychedelic (Psycodelic) Sounds conversations. I am only saying this because "Good Vibrations" was complete and we've already gotten stereo sessions with the CD-single. Just a minor grip. AH! I want this in my hands already! (That's what she said.) Side note: No "Untitled Instrumental"? Has that already been confirmed as a non-SMiLE track?
