A question. On several live versions performed by the BBs circa 1976-1980 they add a set of lyrics which I can never work out. IIRC these are part of another song integrated into GV. Does anyone have any further info on this?

If you have the Knebvworth DVD/CD it is on there.

Carl would sing this part, and the two lines I could make out were "Love to be your lover", which is the title of a reported unreleased song from the mid-'70s or so (see pg. 188 of the Leaf book), and "Really love your soul".

I distinctly recall the band singing "Bee Bop A Lula" during the tag on more than one occasion in the 80s.

You can hear an example on www.Wolfgangsvault.com the  Beach Boys Concert
Nassau Coliseum (Uniondale, NY).  I still can't make out what Carl is saying at the end ...
I hear the word "love" in there a few times ... a mystery.

On the Knebworth GV, Carl is singing "We love you, we love you, I love you, we love you," etc. at the end of the riff. It's all kinda buried under the other vocals and instruments.

This is from 1976. I use to think the ending was "a-walkin and a-talkin bee bop a-walkin and a-talkin", but maybe it's "Be Bop a Lula", I dunno.

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

I honestly think it's just gibberish.... but syncopated gibberish

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
What is this "life" thing you speak of ?

Syncopate it? In front of all these people?!
