Yeah, I'd give anything to hear them pull this out as an encore!

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Brian can't remember the words to God Only Knows. Do you really think he can pull off Feel Flows? Even Carl couldn't remember the lyrics.

I want to hear Brian and his band do Everybody Wants To Live.  Grin Actually, the whole Adult Child album would be great.

Dude, you know why Brian doesn't do anything Beach Boys-related after 1973 excepting Good Timin' and (VERY occasionally) The Night Was So Young? Because a lot of his "biggest supporters in the band" hate all of the albums after Holland. Even Brian's second biggest fan ever (biggest ever is Michael Love) hates Love You with a passion.

If Brian did this live I would be mightily impressed! I hated this song the first 5-6 times I heard it and then one day something clicked and I love it now, Beach Boys songs have a habit of doing that don't they?

Also if members of Brians current band don't like post-Holland stuff then I guess that logic means we never have to hear anything off GIOMH ever again right? Right?Huh??

I meant post-Holland BEACH BOYS stuff. There's a difference. If Melinda had her way we would have had GIOMH played in its entirety.

I know what you meant old bean, just joshing you. Oh and the thought of a 'Brian Wilson Presents Gettin' In Over My Head Live' tour is terrifying and will probably give Andrew an aneurysm!

Well, they've been already played a good-sized chunk of GIOMH. (DD and SS in the most recent fall tour, too.)

Plus, they've also played How Could We Still Be Dancin', City Blues and the title track live. Although, honestly, a live GOIMH would be cool. You'd have band backing vocals, for one thing! (And Darian playing a role, perhaps).

The GIOMH stuff isn't so much meh writing as it is meh execution (although there are exceptions, obviously).

Brian has played Ding Dang live too -- not that the rest of the band was prepared for it, but he did it. One the home shopping network, no less!
