...is it any good? I had it in the '70s, liked it, sold it with the advent of punk (don't ask...) and feel an urge to re-buy it and listen to it.

It is very good.

And the first sequal is not half bad either....a very clever work based on the same structure as Tubular Bells but with a slightly different musical motif.
