And I really like Imagination! But yeah, it's pretty far in that direction. (As are BB85 and BW88, although the AutoTune plugin wasn't out in the 80s -- I suspect there was other software that did the same kind of thing, though).

Contracts...as in more then one...

Maybe it really is Beachboyscentral.com getting launched. Can't be just one new album, it sounds either multiple projects or one project with the approval of others.

Concerts would definitely underwhelm me just cause i know i wouldn't be able to go.  Though, this was originally tweeted about with a bunch of shows being announced. 

why would you need to sign contracts for an album? unless Brian has signed a new record deal slash signed to do another suite thing like he did for TLOS.  or maybe he's scoring a movie.  random thought.

Surely it can't be concerts since they were already announced before this big announcement was mentioned. Unless it's a few concerts with someone?

It can't be the touring for the rest of this year. Already announced, as folks said.

It can't be a reunion/tour with the other Boys -- already ruled out by mod.

It's not an archival boxed set, like Smile, as that was already ruled out by mod.

So, I see three possibilities.

1.) New album / project. Perhaps a Pleasure Island tour next summer, to be followed by a recording.
2.) Some sort of big tour next year -- a farewell tour of some sort, perhaps with special guests.
3.) Perhaps the biopic that has been in development for years. I doubt that somewhat, given that we would probably hear through Hollywood sources if something were seriously going into production.

Those are the three obvious candidates. My money is on 1.
