I believe its an announcement that Brian has been contracted to replace Hugh Jackman as the all singing, all dancing Peter Allen in the Broadway stage production of "The Boy From Oz" ........... and remember - you read it here first!

Use your imagination folks ... think Brian is white chinos and and a red Hawaiian shirt .... all sing along now! .... "When my baby, when my baby smiles at me I go to Rio, De janeiro, Me salsa fellow, When my baby smiles at me, She shines the lanterns of my life, And I am free at last what a blast! Whoa"  (Wife - offstage - with sign .... "Brian shake your maracas!")

1. Brian will do a daily late night talkshow. On Fox TV.

2. He has written a book on ancient Greek philosophers, out tomorrow.

3. Michael DeMartin fooled us all and there WILL be a BBs reunion AND a SMiLE archival set.

Personally, I prefer option 2.

Would BW be channeling GW by now? Perhaps via Char?

Brian does tend to record the basic tracks fast...
its the tinkering after that will tell if its going to work...

this is where the inspiration lies... if Brian takes his time and gets the right sound.. it will be ok...

MY new CD? So it's just Brian's Gershwin stuff, and not his contributions to a CD of a bunch of people's work?

Well......yeah.  There was some confusion initially about this, because there is a compilation being put together by Phil Ramone called "Gershwin Across America" that will feature Gershwin tunes by various artists (Darius Rucker, Paul Simon, and some others), but I don't know if Brian is involved with that at all.  Brian has a two record deal with Disney for a CD of George and Ira Gershwin tunes (some of the stuff is unfinished material that Brian will 'finish'), and a CD of Disney tunes.  You can read the press release at Brian's web site.

Well, only that it was announced then doesn't mean, that Brian didn't already begin, working on arrangements and stuff.
I agree, cool to hear that it is happening....
